Pete

I’m @PetePereira and I rant about ⚽️ - mostly Aston Villa & USMNT. I ref local youth & adult leagues so I’m an expert on the sport (not really)

[Pete @SetPieces]

All Ramos needs is some glasses and the jacket that matches his outfit to complete his “Judah from BoJack Horseman” look 👀

[Pete @SetPieces]

Ajer with the equalizer!? I was driving my kid to practice…who didn’t follow him? #AVFC

[Pete @SetPieces]

Thank goodness for Santi

[Pete @SetPieces]

I love seeing Sullivan and Freeman trying shit out in the right side. So exciting to see guys playing with some swagger #USMNT

[Pete @SetPieces]

Oh well. Best of luck to him but this isn’t a shocker.

It’s not an easy choice to make but it became clear he was holding out for Germany.

[Henry Bushnell @HenryBushnell]

Noahkai Banks has picked Germany over the USMNT.

He's filed for a one-time switch. It hasn't yet been confirmed by FIFA, but if/when approved, he'll play for Germany's U-21s this month, and will no longer be eligible to represent the U.S.

[Pete @SetPieces]

Ref has allowed this match to be a slugfest all game and Villa came out worse for it.

So frustrating after showing some grit to get the equalizer

[Pete @SetPieces]

Kamara looked like he’s been laboring all game.

[Pete @SetPieces]

@USSoccerColl @ProspectsUsmnt Thanks. My son is going to play Rising in a USL Academy match in a few mins and I think I see him.

Man, he is physically impressive for his age!

[Pete @SetPieces]

@USSoccerColl @ProspectsUsmnt what’s the name of the PHX Rising player who’s highly regarded? I think he’s a 2011

[Pete @SetPieces]

@IHateSoccerPod Don’t think the USYSA & US Club collab on N1 is a step in the direction of a potential merger?

[Pete @SetPieces]

Can only go up from here folks #AVFC

[Pete @SetPieces]

@AstonVillanUSA Prob all of the above.

[Pete @SetPieces]

@StevieGreenXI One additional point I’ll add is that Unai’s trainings are known to be intense. So I think the squad going though such a big refresh will help address potential player burnout

[Pete @SetPieces]

I’m curious to see where Palace puts him. They have a pretty solid RWB in Munoz and they signed Mingueza on a free.

[SBI Soccer @SBISoccer]

Zavier Gozo has officially joined EPL side Crystal Palace in a permanent deal from Real Salt Lake. #MLS #USMNT

[Pete @SetPieces]

I saw the Athletic reported that’s it’s been rejected but if Al Hilal up the offer it’s gonna tempt Villa’s resolve

[Pete @SetPieces]

Oh boy….thats gotta be a price point that will be very tempting

[Fabrizio Romano @FabrizioRomano]

🚨🔵⚪️ EXCL: Al Hilal submit official bid to Aston Villa for Ollie Watkins worth €45m total package, add-ons included.

Watkins, keen on Al Hilal move while final decision is in #AVFC hands.

Villa already rejected two approaches from the Saudi side — now official bid on table.

[Pete @SetPieces]

Alright #USYNT sickos - my son is playing Barca academy in a USL academy match. I looked at their last game day roster and it seems like they’ll have mostly 2010s playing. Who should I be keeping an eye on (if they play)?

[John Townley @johntownley11]

🚨 Zion Suzuki is keen to join Aston Villa. Talks are progressing well, but nothing has been finalised at this stage. PSG are understood to be frustrated after their deal for the 23yo goalkeeper collapsed at the final hurdle.

[Pete @SetPieces]

Ugh…

[Jacob Tanswell @J_Tanswell]

New: Joao Gomes and Brian Madjo expected to miss the start of the season through injury. Further scans will determine specific timeframe, but Gomes suffered a calf strain & initially anticipated to miss two-four weeks, while first indications suggest Madjo could be out until at least September.

Fucking Cash…

[Pete @SetPieces]

I love this idea. Now the next step is to make the cost to attain a B license more affordable
