Here's another anomoly with Lauren Kuby's donations:
She is supported by Changing Hands Bookstore. Changing Hands actively supports the lobbyists from Save Our Schools, which is against school choice. Yet Kuby accepted $5,500 from a charter school CEO in Arizona. So is Kuby for or against school choice?
⚖️Alabama District Attorney, on conviction of school counselor who botched a sexual abuse investigation by doing it herself instead of reporting as required by law:
“Your job is not to become an investigator. It’s that simple. You report, then the actual investigators who are trained in forensic interviews and are partnered with police departments can do the investigations. They’re in a much better situation, much better training and they can determine the truth.”
Jeff Tobey’s statement is an admission that administration failed to follow mandatory reporting law. The law is clear. The administration chose to investigate it as a policy/ performance violation vs following state statute which requires reporting to law enforcement. @Rachel1Mitchell
DVEA scheduled a rally at 3:45 PM right before the critical June 9 Boundary Study Session.
This isn’t “hate has no place.” This is “parent input has no place” when it conflicts with their agenda.
Wrong time. Wrong place. Disrespectful to families who just want a voice.
Checkmate @JeffTobey_PUSD.
Put the item on Tuesday’s agenda and allow board members to take a position on waiving privilege for a criminal investigation regarding student safety. Do your job. Transparency isn’t optional.

@j2_hands@waldenpatriot@redwildcat@higleydistrict That’s a crazy statement. When schools work together it’s clearly better outcomes for students. EVIT isn’t competing for students.
They are providing an alternative pathway for students who don’t desire to go to college!
Contact PUSD School Board President Jeff Tobey & request that he place an agenda item for the Tuesday, June 9th to allow a vote on waiving attorney-client privilege related to the Centennial High School investigation/exec session minutes tied to the Superior Court search warrant.
@j2_hands@waldenpatriot@redwildcat@higleydistrict Each district has the ability to negotiate with EVIT. Ftn Hills isn’t the same as Mesa etc. each district should have a tailored agreement with EVIT.
@j2_hands@redwildcat@higleydistrict Not when a student doesn’t finish the program and just enters for a butt in the seat.
Of course the programs are in the top as EVIT approves them.
@j2_hands@redwildcat@higleydistrict What’s getting lost: many times the satellites don’t offer the same credentialing & robust programs.
Districts just plug a student into a satellite program to fill a class spot rather than the student desiring to learn the trade. It’s a waste of time for the student & district.
@j2_hands@redwildcat@higleydistrict Let’s be real-sending districts are mad EVIT proposed a new, performance-funding formula that would have reduced member districts' share of funding to incentivize better student outcomes.
Additional oversight would cost EVIT. Rightly so EVIT is asking to keep more for oversight
@redwildcat@higleydistrict If it was up to Anna Van Hoek, they would have an IGA with EVIT, like Mesa and Scottsdale did, and we wouldn't have a problem. Too many board members are sitting back and doing nothing rather than directing the Superintendent to make successful student outcomes the priority.
If you are in one of the nine school districts threatening to end transportation to EVIT, considering switching to @mpsaz and we'll get your students there. No stunts. No games. We're putting student outcomes first, just like EVIT.
I'm trying to figure out something since the @higleydistrict governing board meeting on Tuesday. $250,000 was approved because by law they have to transport two needy children to school. But Higley, as well as other districts, are in a disagreement about the $$$ to transport students to EVIT. At least at EVIT students will learn some skills they can take with them towards a job after high school. Are districts envious of the success of vocational schools? Is it really all about the children?
Mr. Carver claims he doesn’t know what he has done that IS NOT conservative or against party values.
Here’s a reminder:
Voted for radical leftist to be board VP over an R
Stumped w/ “Union” to pass bond
Attended Nt’l School Board Assn conf
Unwilling to work with fellow Rs
Day 4 posting on traditional families:
On the other hand, I think that the family, the traditional family, has a fundamental social role, because it's there that children are born and the investment in children is the greatest investment a country can make.
