@realBobbyHealy National Treasure? Would you ever go away and have a good chat with yourself! How any current Irish politician could be described as that is simply outrageous. Jesus Wept!! I’m embarrassed for you that you said that out loud, I really am.
@declanganley Interesting that not one RTE report mentioned the fact that Rory Coveney was Simons brother, not one, from morning Ireland to Drivetime, 6 one news etc, it was never mentioned. Newstalk, Today FM and Virgin all mentioned it when they reported his resignation.
@barrymward No!! Those who oppose it do not think this is acceptable by any stretch of the imagination but it covers far more than an incident like this and this plays exactly into the hands of the politicians who are trying to push this through.
Look into it in detail before you react.
@AndrewM59485285@oconnellhugh You’ve missed the point, did the word private not give you your first clue? RTE were not using their own money, they were taking a risk with licence payer money, money the licence payer never agreed to give them for that purpose!
@AndrewM59485285@oconnellhugh They were using public money! Shows have flopped before and will again but privately funded, loads of talented people out there trying to get musical theatre produced and realized but by raising the capital not just having a whim and using taxpayer money to produce a dud!
@realBobbyHealy @justhavingapeep Professionals in other sectors that aren’t publicly funded! Jesus Wept do you not get that? RTE is publicly funded it’s not private. Private companies can pay whoever, whatever they want that’s their own business.
