📆 While the world's cameras are turned to the inaugural #AfricaForward Summit in Nairobi on 11-12 May, the continent's economic boardroom convenes just 48 hours later. From 14-15 May, six sitting Heads of State gather in Kigali for the Africa CEO Forum 2026, the largest pan-African meeting of presidents, CEOs and investors, where the continent's political leadership and its private sector write the next chapter of African prosperity together.
👤 H.E. @PaulKagame, President of Rwanda and host of the summit, welcomes H.E. Bola Ahmed Tinubu @officialABAT (Nigeria), H.E. Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema (Gabon), H.E. Daniel Chapo (Mozambique), H.E. Mohamed Cheikh Ould El Ghazouani (Mauritania) and H.E. Mamadi Doumbouya (Guinea).
🌍 Six leaders who represent some of the most strategic economies on the continent, all aligned on a single conviction: the future of Africa will be financed, built and owned by Africans, with the private sector as the central engine.
💡 This is what sets ACF apart. Where most international forums frame the continent through the prism of bilateral relations, the Africa CEO Forum convenes 2,000 African and global decision-makers around the issues that will define the next decade: megaprojects and infrastructure, pan-African capitalism, productivity, industrial sovereignty and the acceleration of the AfCFTA. The conversations in Kigali set Africa's own agenda, on Africa's own terms.
📍 Kigali, 14-15 May 2026. The continent's economic centre of gravity.

“What defines the relationship between Rwanda and Botswana is not only friendship, but also a shared sense of purpose.
This is evident in the way we work together, and in our commitment to practical outcomes.
Across areas such as air connectivity, visa facilitation, and double taxation, our objective is to remove barriers, and to create a more predictable environment for investment and collaboration.
Botswana has consistently demonstrated what forward-looking leadership can accomplish.
The way you have managed your natural resources, particularly diamonds, reflects a deliberate effort to retain value, and translate it into real benefits for your people.
This is an approach that strongly resonates with us.” President Kagame | Joint Press Conference with President Duma Boko
“At the end of the day, young people in Kigali, Gaborone, and elsewhere on the continent want the same thing: a fair chance to succeed, and to move forward in life.
It is our duty as leaders to create the conditions that make that possible.
This is precisely what we are working towards, and why visits like this matter.” President Kagame | State Banquet hosted by President Duma Boko.
This morning in Gaborone, President Kagame toured Diamond Trading Company Botswana (DTC Botswana), a 50/50 joint venture between the Government of Botswana and De Beers. DTC Botswana is the world’s largest and most sophisticated rough diamond sorting and valuing operation, with the capacity to sort up to 45 million carats annually.

Karibu tena Tanzania, Mheshimiwa Rais.
