“One of my first things they had me do at RCR (when I was hired) was cut the body off of a Monte Carlo to build this car.
Did it outside on the lift and it was 100°F”

October 7, 1990: At Charlotte, a mistake sent Dale Earnhardt on track with left wheels loose
Instead of towing it back to the garage, Earnhardt's crew ran on track and changed the tires on the apron, a controversial moment keeping him in reach of the season-long championship
@ArchivesDe The oil tank in the left front is a dead giveaway it is not inauthentic. We haven't had a oil tank in the left front since 86. It could have been a show car. But, I doubt it. I would like to see a picture of the interior and the trunk. Interesting though.
@SharylAttkisson You are my favorite go to person for news and information. I'm so sorry for what is a difficult time in your life. God bless you and will be praying for you and your family.
@ArchivesDe @SYflyMichael We had a oil cooler mounted all the way up on the right of by where the dash is under the windshield. I do believe it was the cooler hose was to blow on the oil tank. We also used a vent there to blow on Dale . Like that before naca ducts. Spike motorsports owns this car now.
