EXPOSE THIS! Minnesota used tax money on a food pantry that posted a sign telling white people to stay out!!

Mykela ��Keiko” Jackson opened the Food Trap Project Bodega in North Minneapolis with a Paths to Black Health grant from the Minnesota Department of Health’s Office of African American Health.

The state’s own RFP says those dollars are “specifically designed to support organizations that work with U.S.-born African Americans” and cites “post-traumatic slave syndrome” and “epigenetic inheritance.” Her GoFundMe also listed $10,000 from a Mn Black Collective Grant.

The sign on the shed read: "The resources found in here are intended for Black & Indigenous Folx. Please refrain from taking anything if you’re not."

Howard Dotson, a nearby caretaker, told Alpha News a white tenant was turned away.

He said he confronted Jackson over taking state grant money and refusing poor white people.

He filed a complaint with the Minneapolis Civil Rights Commission.
Sanctuary Covenant Church had hosted her, paid for the electrical hookup, and thought the pantry would be open to anyone, 24 hours a day, with no demographic screen.

The church said that restriction was not in her original proposal. When she would not drop it, they cut the power and told her to be gone by September 30, 2024. Jackson blamed a “Karen.”

She kept going. Her own later posts said the project was in year two of a four-year MDH partnership and had moved more than 15,000 pounds of food. Minnesota’s health department page updated in June 2026 still names Food Trap Project Initiative among current Paths to Black Health grantees.

Hungry people do not change color at the door of a pantry built with public money. The state wrote the grant to pick a race. She posted the sign to enforce it.
