Djiboutian assistant referee Liban Abdoulrazack Ahmed has thanked Somali FIFA official Omar Artan for choosing him to officiate the historic 2026 UEFA Super Cup final in Salzburg, citing the trust built while working together at two AFCON tournaments.

CAF Referee of the Year Omar Artan has been invited by UEFA to attend the UEFA Men’s Summer Course 2026 in Geneva, Switzerland. 🇨🇭

The course will take place from 31st August to 2nd September 2026.

UEFA has also indicated that they want Omar Artan to officiate football matches in Europe.

UEFA has sent an official letter to CAF and the Somalia FA to inform them about the invitation.

Everyone says to be confident. But what really is the root of confidence? How can you actually train this trait?

Courage builds confidence. Courage is not the lack of fear. It is acting in spite of fear.

- Most traders will keep trading when they are red with no DLL and stop trading when they are green.

- Most traders skip setups because they don't want to lose.

- Most traders take profits quick because of doubt.

- Most traders won't add to their winner because they fear moving their average price

Confidence can't come from blind belief or even from positive self talk. Can't come from hope or motivation.

Confidence comes directly from competence.

Competence comes from consistent action blended with overcoming challenges/adversity directly from that consistent action.

If you view everything through the lens of fear, then you tend to operate in retreat mode. Holding back your chances of gaining competence. You must act in spite of fear and be ready to adjust.

Yes you will take some punches to the chin sometimes, but that is the only way you learn to evade next time and fight back.

Adversity or challenges are an opportunity to cultivate your resilience and learn, or the chance to strengthen and toughen yourself and learn. (Build competence)

This is the true root of confidence. Punching through the wall, not at the wall
