@jidesanwoolu@RotimiAkeredolu Congratulations Mr. Governor for a job well done. No political destiny will be determined in the social media. They should ask DT.
Members of the public are hereby enjoined to stop spreading false and dangerous information that can negatively impact on the situation. It’s advisable that we all await an official statement from the government which will come in due course.
My thoughts and prayers are with the victims of this morning’s explosion in Amuwo Odofin whose cause is still largely sketchy. I implore our Emmergency responders to as usual respond bravely and professionally to arrest the situation. I wish the victims speedy recovery.
Congratulations to the good people of Lagos state and most especially the members of Lagos State House of Assembly on the successful passage of the Amotekun bill into law. LAHA has once again proven to be responsive to the yearnings of teeming Lagosians.
I commend the deployment of additional 65 buses and the order for 550 more as measures which under-score government sensitivity to the issue at hand. There can be no development without law and order.
The laws restricting the operations of okada and marwa In Lagos State have come to stay. You can’t abort a baby that’s already delivered. Lagos state will only be governed by law and order.
The politically motivated pockets of protest and resistance cannot terminate the social contract between the government and the good people of Lagos State to protect lives and property.

We need to note that the state government hasn’t made any new law but only implemented an existing law. We should all leverage on the available measures through the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund, the Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation etc to seek succor.
I hereby call on the law enforcement agencies to nip in the bud any untoward activity that can lead to chaos in our state in the guise of misguided protests. Lagos State will continue to serve as the beacon of development in Nigeria.
By the same token, discredited political jobbers should desist from seeking relevance through the well meaning effort of the Lagos State government to regulate okada operations in our state.
