Kudos to our military men for another successful rescue operation.
They went in search of kidnapped victims and brought them back safely without any casualties. Their courage, discipline, and commitment to protecting lives deserve recognition.
Nigeria is still battling insecurity, but our brave soldiers continue to put their lives on the line every day in the fight to keep citizens safe.
An Assistant Superintendent of Police, Aondoaver Asom, attached to Ops Zenda Joint Task Force (JTF), was traveling to resume duties with Operations Zenda JTF when armed robbers ambushed the passenger vehicle he was in.
He gallantly foiled the vicious attack, shooting three robbers dead in Benue.
This man’s sacrifices must not be forgotten.
The family he left behind must be taken care of.
I am making a passionate appeal to the Ag. IGP, @TunjiDisu1, and the NSA, @NuhuRibadu, to not only honor his memory but also take care of his immediate family.
I am also calling on Nigerians to please help his family.

Kogi State is advancing its free and compulsory education policy, as Governor Usman Ododo issues directive, mandating no fees for public primary and secondary school students and urging parents to report violations because the government covers exam fees for Basic 6, common entrance, BECE, WAEC, JAMB, and NABTEB.
Recently, Ododo approved funding for 2024/2025 WASSCE fees for 18,734 public secondary students, underscoring financial support for free education from primary to secondary levels.
Infrastructure gains include a partnership between the Kogi State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), with 50% counterpart funding. This enables construction of three-classroom blocks with offices and stores, plus motorized boreholes with 20,000-liter overhead tanks across all 21 Local Government Areas (LGAs). These align with 2025 fiscal plans for school renovations and new builds.
Commissioner for Education, Hon. Wemi Jones affirmed Ododo's commitment in October, stating the governor aims to elevate education standards. Earlier, the state released ₦661 million for public education enhancements and ₦1.2 billion for exam fees, integrating these with broader welfare reforms.
Ododo, who took office in January 2024, prioritizes education revitalization and seeks partnerships to drive accountability and progress.
@Advsola@adot911 My exact questions to those protesting.
Ekpa is an offshoot of Nnamdi Kanu yet he was arrested tried and jailed. It's our justice system I blame though
Please list the attacks against Christians every Christmas and Easter for the past 10 years. Name specific attacks please.
Let me also shock you, in Rivers State a few years ago, a cult leader Don Waney and his gang (who are Christians by the way) opened fire of people returning from a new year eve church service. Would you say they targeted these victims because of Christianity?
In the same North, you conveniently mentioned two LGAs in Plateau state that is a hotbed of communal clashes for decades just to paint the picture you wanted but you forgot the countless Muslims who are victims of conscienceless bandits who are Muslims too in the North West. Search Muslims killed in mosques in Nigeria on Google and you'll see incidents.
We have a security challenge in Nigeria, and we need help to tackle these insecurities but what I cannot accept is this skewed narrative of making it seem Christians are being eliminated while Muslims are being spared in Nigeria. It's not true. The truth should count!
