While they don't grab the headlines like the first-round picks, RPI has done some serious recruiting work in the WHL. Evaschesen, who had 33 goals and 73 points for Kamloops, likely the headliner of the group.
This is also what the NCAA sent out less than a week ago. Last Friday. Now what they have sent out today says that any player who does not enroll this season will be subject to the new rule. That completely contradicts what they sent out a week ago.
@MikeMcMahonCHN I thought before they had it so before 2026 HS grads could get whichever one was more beneficial? So now they’re taking away that carve out for sports with delayed enrollment???
Lots of people are rightfully calling out the ridiculousness of this, but I just want to point out he won’t come in as a freshman. He’ll only have 2 years of eligibility. Makes it a bit more palatable even though I agree that players with ECHL time shouldn’t be eligible at all
