I often refer to the poor leadership at the AFL. Steve Hocking advanced his career at AFL - along with destroying it with rule changes - came back to clubland and incorporated the poor leadership standards and principles with this “misstep”. Craig Drummond was president at Geelong during the time this “misstep” occurred and is now leading AFL as Commission Chairman.
