Mohammad Yousef Hasna (also known as Orhan Korkmaz or Abu al-Baraa), a Turkish resident described by US prosecutors as the global director of the UK-registered “Sham Charity,” was arrested in the UK on 31 July 2026. He faces extradition to the US on charges of conspiring to provide material support to Hamas (a designated foreign terrorist organisation), conspiracy to finance terrorism, and financing terrorism. Each count carries a maximum of 20 years in prison.
