Throwback Thursday
Today's trip down memory lane takes us back to 2019 - a day filled with ice cream, house photos, and plenty of smiles!
Looking through old boarding memories reminds us just how special our community is.
It has been a busy week in Boarding, with students working hard through both their internal and external examinations. From early morning revision sessions to focused evening study time, our boarders have shown determination, resilience, and commitment throughout the week.
Our boarders put their teamwork, problem-solving, and nerves to the test on today’s Saturday trip to the escape room… and they escaped with just 5 seconds to spare!
From cracking codes to solving clues under pressure, the girls worked brilliantly together.
This week, we are proud to support Mental Health Awareness Week.
In boarding, we know how important it is to create a community where students feel safe, supported, listened to, and valued every single day.
Just ONE WEEK to go until Race for Life 2026!
The excitement is building in boarding as our race numbers have officially arrived!
Team St Francis College is getting ready to walk, jog and run together in support of Cancer Research UK.
Our Boarding Gardening Project has officially begun!
This is where it all started… pots, soil, and plenty of enthusiasm!
We are so excited to watch this space grow and develop over the next term, especially with our students taking such an active role in bringing it to life.
Pottery, Paints and a Perfect Saturday!
Our Saturday weekend trip took us to @potsof_art, where we were incredibly well looked after and had such a fantastic time!

World Penguin Day!
Today, we’re celebrating one of the most charming and resilient creatures on the planet – penguins. From the icy landscapes of Antarctica to the coastal shores of the Southern Hemisphere, these incredible birds remind us of the power of community.
Today in boarding, we celebrated St George's Day with a wonderful mix of creativity, community and a touch of tradition.
From themed activities to students coming together to share stories and laughter, it was fantastic to see the house full of energy and spirit.
A huge well done to all of our students who took part in their DofE Silver Expedition this weekend.
The Chilterns provided the perfect setting, with plenty of sunshine helping to lift spirits along the way. It was a challenging few days of walking, camping and teamwork.
A massive well done to three of our fantastic boarders who delivered a brilliant group lesson to a Year 6 class starting their topic on China.
Our students introduced where China is in the world, shared famous landmarks and cities, taught key Chinese phrases, and calligraphy.
Welcome back, boarders! We hope all of our students have had a wonderful Easter holiday and are feeling refreshed and ready for the term ahead. We are so excited to welcome you back for the Summer Term and can’t wait to see the boarding house full of energy and fun once again.
And just like that, we have reached the end of term.
We would like to wish all of our students safe journeys home and a very happy Easter holiday.
Enjoy some well-earned rest time with family and friends.
On Saturday, we celebrated World Sleep Day.
Sleep plays an important role in our wellbeing, helping us rest, recharge, and stay healthy both physically and mentally. Good sleep supports learning, concentration, and overall well-being, making it an essential part of daily life.
Happy Mother’s Day
Today we celebrate mums in all forms and all those who take on a motherly role in our lives. To those who guide, support, nurture, and lead by example, thank you for everything you do.
Wishing you a wonderful day filled with appreciation and gratitude.
