Hasan Piker confirms his UK visa has been revoked after pressure from pro-Israel groups
He was scheduled to speak at the Oxford Union, SXSW London, and to interview Yanis Varoufakis
I’ve been banned from the UK. I tried to get on a flight to London to attend SXSW London and give a speech at Oxford. I’ve been banned for criticizing Israel. Are we free anymore? This is oppression of Western citizens by our own governments on behalf of a different country!
the uk has revoked my visa as well. all at the behest of israel. the west is betraying "liberal values" for a genocidal fascist foreign government. soon we will all become israel.
A chatter asks Hasan if Israel has killed American citizens and Hasan says their names. 🖤 So many beautiful souls lost because of the genocidal state of Israel. Rest in eternal power. ✊🏿💐🖤
Hi @BriannaWu, I still remember when you fabricated a story about Palestinian children stoning a dog in Jerusalem. Here is a video of Israeli settlers beating a dog to death with sticks in the West Bank.
Do you have anything to say about this?
ANNOUNCEMENT:
After discussions with my legal team, we will now begin the process of opening proceedings against Labour peer Mike Katz for his defamatory comments against me.
For too long, senior political figures have used their status and backing to slander independent voices.
I am determined to hold this Labour government to account. If that means defending myself legally, then so be it.
They will not delegitimise our work or silence our voices.
Legal campaigns cost money, but it's vital that we stop the government clamp down on dissenting voices.
We have now passed 80% of our target, thanks to your generous support. If you are able to do so, please consider making a contribution: https://t.co/wacLyehwTf
Our daughter, Rachel Corrie, was killed in 2003 in Gaza, while trying to protect a Palestinian home facing illegal destruction by the Israeli military. She was 23 years old. The massive, armored Caterpillar D-9 bulldozer that crushed her was operated by two Israeli soldiers and manufactured in the United States. It was the same type of militarized bulldozer that US presidents from George W. Bush through to Donald Trump have delivered to Israel.
Today, as the destruction of Palestinian homes has only become more commonplace, not to mention the horror of Israel’s genocide, Senator Bernie Sanders will force a vote in the Senate to try to end this cycle of death by banning the transfer of D-9 bulldozers to Israel. We hope he will not take this stand alone.
No policy can bring back those taken from us by these actions—children and other loved ones. But the Senate now has an opportunity to honor the memories of our daughter, other Americans, and thousands of Palestinian civilians killed, and to show that their deaths, and all the destruction, will no longer be condoned and funded. We hope those elected to represent us, the American people, understand the message that voting to block these D-9 bulldozers will send. This will not be a symbolic gesture, but a concrete step toward the protection of human life.

❗ The UK government has been asked why drone exports to Romania are in Israel
Steve Witherden MP (@switherdenMP) has written to the Secretary for Business and Trade over revelations by Declassified UK (@declassifiedUK) and CAAT (@caatuk) over drone exports to Israel.
A member of an offshoot of the Jewish Defense League — designated by the FBI as a "known violent extremist organization" — was allegedly building explosive devices to target the home of Nerdeen Kiswani in a chilling act of political violence. The defendant reportedly planned to flee to Israel following the attack.
This comes amid an alarming rise in threats and violence across the country targeting Palestinian human rights advocates.
I am thankful that the NYPD and FBI thwarted this plot, which could have endangered Nerdeen’s life and those of other New Yorkers.
Let me be clear: We will not tolerate violent extremism in our city. No one should face violence for their political beliefs or their advocacy. I am relieved that Nerdeen is safe.
Our city must meet hate with solidarity, and meet fear with an unshakable commitment to justice and to one another.
🚨BREAKING -- Declassified attended the Filton 24 press conference today, where five recently released Palestine Action activists revealed shocking details about their experience in prison.
Teuta Hoxha began by explaining that her mind is "not as sharp as it used to be before the hunger strike". She said prison guards issued threats of 14 years in jail for saying "Free Palestine" and claimed the Palestine flag was akin to a neo-Nazi symbol.
She also brandished an evidence bag of photos of children in Gaza, which she said had been confiscated from her while in prison.
Teuta, who went on hunger strike, said the government was "willing to let us die for a ban that was ruled unlawful and to deny bail that was later granted".
Speaking directly to home secretary Shabana Mahmood about the proscription of Palestine Action, she declared: "Enough damage has been done. The appeal must be withdrawn".
Heba Muraisi said she has not heard from her family in Gaza for 27 months as they suffer from a genocidal campaign of extermination at the hands of the Israeli forces.
On being arrested, she recalled how the police used chainsaws to rip through her front door and went on to violate her dignity by exposing her body to the public on the street.
Heba subsequently spent 73 days on hunger strike during which time she was not given electrolytes despite requests.
Maddie Norman said after her arrest, she wasn't given a phone call for 14 days and was therefore unable to tell her mom where she had been taken.
In jail, she was put on an "escape list", meaning she was forced to wear an "escape suit", creating conditions which restricted her ability to access medicine and make phone calls.
Maddie was told by guards that she had been put on the "escape list" because of undefined "intel". The guards subsequently said she’d been put on the list because she had been drawing in her cell and sketching in the yard. One day the guards came and said drawing the prison was "prohibited" and signalled an effort to escape.
Maddie's poster - which said "bombing kids is not self-defence" – was also taken away for "extremism".
She condemned the government's "unprecedented Draconian response" to direct action and said it is designed to scare the public away from expressing solidarity with Palestine.
Qesser Zuhrar opened by saying the prisoners for Palestine "are the collateral damage of Britain's immoral allegiance to the Israeli state".
She recalled how she was assaulted by guards twice in prison - once for requesting help for a suicidal prisoner and a second time for the mere act of crying. "The purpose of oppression is to humiliate - from the occupation of Palestine... to our own imprisonment", she said.
While on hunger strike, Qesser said that she was left to die for 22 hours “on my cell floor - or at least the guards wanted me to believe they would let me die". The guards even left the cell door open, knowing she was unable to move. It was only after public pressure that she was taken to hospital.
Kamran Ahmed explained how, when police raided his house, his disabled mother was told by police officers she had to walk 15 minutes to the nearest take-away restaurant if she wanted to eat, despite being unable to climb stairs.
"I am one of 24 humanitarian activists who were kidnapped by British counter-terror police", he said.
Today I$rael tried to kill me in a targeted airstrike in southern Lebanon as I was reporting on was the targeting of bridges and the forced displacement of 1 million people, an ethnic cleansing operation on a larger scale than the Nakba
I have absolutely no doubt that this was deliberate. Despite claims there were no warnings ahead of the strike and no notifications sent to the Lebanese Army who allowed us to film
As we have seen in Gaza they want to silence journalists who document and report their war crimes
It is the western powers who provide political and military support for I$rael, arming it to the teeth to carry out genocide in Gaza and ethnic cleansing here in Lebanon. They are not simply complicit, but active participants and should be held accountable for their actions.
But if I$rael thinks today’s strike will silence us and keep us out of the field they are very, very mistaken
Steve Sweeney is a British citizen who has been deliberately and openly targeted by an Israeli airstrike while clearly identifiable as a journalist. He is wounded and in hospital. Will @Keir_Starmer say anything about his ally committing a war crime against a British citizen?
Our correspondent Steve Sweeney has been wounded by an Israeli strike in Lebanon.
He says an IDF plane fired upon the car carrying Steve and his cameraman, as they were crossing a bridge in the south of the country.
Both men are conscious in hospital, doctors are diagnosing extent of shrapnel damage.
War journalists are not legitimate targets.
We pray for them.
The only explanation was they were trying to kill a journalist. There’s nothing else there.
Hundreds have been killed by Israel in the last several years.
