Ben McCollum on Bennett Stirtz:
“It was 4 years of work and being coached by me and earning his way to the NBA. He’ll play in the NBA. How ridiculous is that story? He was at Liberty High School and nobody wanted him, and now he’s gonna work his way into the NBA. It’s been fun.”
I think people really underestimate the impact of her staying home and going to Iowa had on her appeal. She didn’t seek out a super team. She chose the grind. She chose to go to a school where she knew she was going to have to carry a vast majority of the weight. And she delivered. Taking Iowa to back to back championship games is wildly impressive. I’ll always find that way cooler than some super team filled with five stars winning a chip.
5 years of justice today. This album is so freaking beautiful and perfectly crafted in every way for my liking. There's masterpiece after masterpiece like this on it which are timeless as well. Thank u justin bieber
Jan Jensen has Iowa as a #2 seed with a team of 9 underclassmen, 3 sophomores starting including their point guard & leading scorer, and they lost the team’s elite senior shooting guard to injury in late January. Yet NO ONE is talking about her or the Hawkeyes.
What a JOKE. Between the flopping, the travels, and ego’s— THIS is why a lot of people have stopped watching the NBA 🔥🔥
How many steps did Shai Gilgeous Alexander get away with on this travel??
