San Francisco, CA - At 10:00 am on Tuesday, March 11, Mayor Daniel Lurie read a proclamation commemorating 130 years of municipal ambulance service in San Francisco in front of City Hall. San Francisco’s municipal ambulance service began in 1895, making it the country’s first and longest continuously operating municipal ambulance service.
The Department of Public Health previously oversaw the service. In 1997, the municipal ambulance services merged with the San Francisco Fire Department, where they have continued to serve citizens and visitors since.
“As we celebrate the 130th anniversary of municipal ambulance services in San Francisco, we proudly reflect on over a century of dedicated, life-saving care. The municipal ambulance service is a vital, publicly funded resource committed to delivering the highest level of care to all citizens and visitors of San Francisco, free from the influences of financial gain. We are honored to be one of the country’s first and longest continuously running municipal ambulance services - a testament to our enduring responsibility to the community”. —Chief Dean Crispen

Truly honored that @DanielLurie asked all of seated members in attendance to turn around and applaud the firefighters, paramedics and EMTs. I wish I could have gotten that on video. #classact
To the @afa_cwa flight attendants who rushed to help, asked if any medical personnel were present, and kept passengers calm, to the @SFFFLocal798 paramedics who boarded the flight and helped wheel the passenger off.

Growing up is understanding that in Titanic, Rose decides to throw away a $250 million pendant in memory of an unemployed man who she had sex with one time.
Meanwhile, her husband worked hard all his life to maintain her and give her and her children a life of luxury, who would surely have also appreciated the inheritance and lived peacefully.
She could of also given the pendant to her Granddaughter who took care of her, her whole life.
The real villain of the movie gentlemen, no doubt it was Rose.
