@DTOhl@CJR The heavy discount is a way to let readers try it for an extended time. It's not unlike numerous businesses that use this strategy outside the media. I'm not saying there isn't a story to be told there. I'm saying this is a story already told, looking for confirmation.
@DTOhl@CJR The public just now is getting its arms around the fact it is going to have to pay for news and everything on the internet isn't free. They simply don't know if they want to spend anywhere from $5-$40 a month for the product.
@DTOhl@CJR This tweet starts with a conclusion that invites readers to simply agree with that premise. It doesn't include context that underlies a key reason for inexpensive trial offers.
Let's not forget about our most vulnerable and hold government accountable for fixing the nursing home crisis in our region and in our state. https://t.co/hJSWUl1rcw
An outstanding group of students. Great questions, thoughtful commentary. The Pennridge community can be so proud of their honors program journalism students. Marion, Phil and I had a blast talking with the students and their excellent teacher.
Was honored to speak to talented Pennridge HS senior honors journalism class today with exec editor Shane Fitzgerald @sfitzg5 (pictured) and reporter @marioncallahan. Future of journalism is in good hands. Thank you to student newspaper advisor Nicole Gordienko for the invite.
