A decent Unknown-type (i.e. "modern" logical fantasy) anthology. Good stories from Sturgeon, McKenna, Sherred, and Leiber. The rest aren't bad either.

There is a good story by Keith Roberts here, "The Deeps", but that's about it. A very disappointing debut, especially given it is the product of an eight-month reading window.

Good to very good work by Robert Silverberg, William Browning Spencer and Gene Wolfe, as well as good stories from Ursula Le Guin and William Barton. Otherwise it's a disappointing debut volume.
