Adults in the life of any child matter because they can offer a baby or child a safe nervous system to nurture them
A safe state to plug into and feel safe in the moment
How amazing is that?
Takes the focus off ‘saying the ‘right thing’as it’s how you feel that matters.

There’s people out there who believe they are all alone in this world — our job is to convince them it’s not true.
The essence of trauma informed practice is to enable people to be ‘seen and known”
We can all be that empathetic witness. It’s not a professional role! 🧘♀️
Don't feel defeated if things didn't go as planned. Don't let that make you question your worth. You're powerful beyond measure. Don't be hard on yourself. You deserve empathy & compassion. Be kind. Instead of judging yourself focus on actions needed to make your dreams come true
Do you adjust your heart energy before going near any child or adult you work with?
Once I understood the need for it I integrated it into all my pre-coaching session preparation
And use it as a regulating energy during a session too Thoughts?
Gratitude to @HeartMathInst
You're going to start a new workout, launch that project, or create a new habit. Then you get stuck in your mind and tell yourself you'll start tomorrow.

~ Dr. Wayne Dyer
@conciouscreator There are many ways to eliminate emotional funnels, one of them is a recapitulation of the event (which caused an explosion of emotional energy), while you need to take a deep breath and exhale, you need to do it until this event has a neutral effect on you. Good luck everyone.
Official book launch day!
It’s a book about Attachment aimed at anyone working in or studying in the caring professions (nursing, medicine, mental health, social work etc).
I’ll pick someone at random from those who like/RT this tweet before April 17th to send them a free copy
Time and time again I come back to Gesturing Towards Decolonial Futures- an incredible resource and practice. Reflecting on the Anti- Assholism Memo this morning “Hold the hand of pain if they come to visit (and they will)” ❤️🔥https://t.co/y9qBPEavnO
'Well,' thought Bear, 'sometimes you have to accept the unacceptable.'
He wasn't in the habit of putting energy into things he couldn't change. Best to have a sit down, breathe it out, and think of what he'd be having for tea.
True acceptance and surrender was quite a nice thing.
What if we replaced the word consequences with experiences? What experiences will help this child to feel safe & connected so the will stay in the room, complete assignments? What if we replaced the words behavior management with behavior engagement? We can never ‘manage anyone!
