🍻After the main event at OGBC, we capped off the day with a Happy Hour at Joo Bar, where we set a new record for the largest Lightning payment ever processed there—$4,029.35!

Singapore's Bitcoin scene just got a whole lot spicier!

Picture this: It's Friday night, and instead of hitting the club, 30+ community members (yours truly included) decided to geek out at the @sgbitdevs event. Why? Because we're cool like that. 😎

We're were honoured to have Dr. Andrew M. Bailey (@resistancemoney ) as our guest speaker. The author of "Resistance Money: A Philosophical case for Bitcoin".
I got a signed copy from the author himself - This one is for the keeps in my growing library :)

Dr. Bailey's talk was nothing short of inspiring, thought-provoking, and captivating. He successfully "orange pilled" many new Bitcoiners. The Q&A just didn't stop. 3 big takeaways on how Bitcoin is defining the next frontier of humanity:

1. Have you assessed your "monetary luck" based on your country of birth? Bitcoin has the potential to level the playing field for future generations.

2. Privacy isn't just for your incognito browser anymore. It's your superhero cape in this digital wild west. As technology advances, privacy in becomes an important tool against various forms of oppression, offering the option to resist when necessary.

3. Bitcoin is an overall improvement in money by orders of magnitude and everyone from an individual to the highest level states/countries will come to understand and embrace its potential in due time.

So, while you were all busy with your Netflix and chill, I was getting my mind blown by the future of finance. Just another Friday in the life of a Bitcoin enthusiast.
