For those who have never done a COP. In my 11 days at #COP28 I did 179,719 steps or about 145km - roughly the straight line distance from Edinburgh to Newcastle.
Note for future COPs - pack comfy shoes (the number of people I saw wearing heels with feet covered in plasters...🫣)

@fukuyaiino @UNFCCC @COP28_UAE That would definitely help but some of these systems spotted in Dubai seem to have been brought in specially for the event and could have used lower GWP refrigerants and had higher efficiency levels - the same was the case in Egypt last year.

@fukuyaiino @UNFCCC That being said @COP28_UAE did utilise passive cooling and had #naturalrefrigerant fridges. They also pushed the #GlobalCoolingPledge and ratified the #KigaliAmendment but more could have been done on the AC side on refrigerant and efficiency!

@fukuyaiino Hi @fukuyaiino - it is a recurring issue at the COPs. @UNFCCC can definitely do more on pushing procurement for sustainable cooling and increasing transparency but ultimately it is up to the host country. #COP29 should lead by example procuring best available technology.
