Callum sent us his great grandfather’s Sgian Dubh who’d served with the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders for refurbishment.
Callum will be wearing it at his forthcoming wedding, a lovely connection with his past and family.

A photo of the other side. The plugged hole is slightly smaller on this side, maybe a different alloy ? Interesting if it can add to the history of the place. Site of large 18th C estate house. Some musket balls also been found here in the past.

Found this buried in our garden in Glen Urquhart, maybe a cannonball ? Can anyone help identify it please ?
It’s approx 4.8” diameter, 7.3kg and has two holes plugged with lead on opposite sides.
