What an amazing place to visit. Brother Olly you and your staff are so inspirational in all the work you do for all those beautiful kids. @wheelchairforkids @SHPSThornlie
Happy to receive recognition for this wonderful initiative that I have had the privilege to lead at our school.
I have been extremely proud of the teachers that have taken on podcasting. It's so important for students to have a voice in their school @shps_thornlie, #studentvoice
Such a proud moment today. @SHPSThornlie celebrated International Deaf week with a wonderful assembly item performed by kids from every year level and day filled with four amazing activities raising the awareness of what it truly means to be deaf or hard of hearing.🙌🏽🙌🏽

To celebrate Harmony Day many of our students came to school dressed in orange or clothes that represented their cultural heritage. The joy coming from the crowd during the parade was fantastic and it was wonderful to hear children discussing their families and heritage.
YEAR 6 LEADERSHIP CAMP
After three action packed days of adventure the Year 6 students have arrived back safe and sound from their Leadership Camp. They engaged in every activity with resilience, zest and a positive attitude, making themselves and their teachers proud
This year SHPS began a new language journey, introducing Auslan. The students are learning how to sign the alphabet, finger spell their names and sign greetings. Mrs Watkins is also helping the children develop an understanding of Deaf culture, with support from @AccessPlusWAD 🙌🏽

St Jerome’s community celebrated a beautiful day to thank @HelenMOToole for not only being our principal for the last nine years, but also for her service to Catholic Education over the last 40 years. Thank you for being you, Mrs O’Toole! @CEWAleaderdev@CathEdNet
MEET LUNA
Today students were able to say hello and give a very warm welcome to our therapy dog, Luna, on her first day of school. We can’t wait to watch her grow as she supports our students growth through their Sacred Heart journey.@sgibbs74@SHPSThornlie @AnnieGerhardy
Amazing effort from 18yo Logan McDonald to come second in Perth’s Butcher Medal best-and-fairest count by a solitary vote in his debut WAFL season. Former Eagle Fraser McInnes, who McDonald has spoken highly of this year as a mentor, topped the voting. https://t.co/YR9WywSqU6
I am incredibly sad that my very dear friend & courageous champion of creative learning everywhere is no longer with us. It's hard to grasp he's no longer here to inspire millions. His legacy is & will be immense. With great sorrow. @pasi_sahlberg@MichaelFullan1@arceducation1
My #bitmoji classroom for the year. Thanks @MissBeechamRSDP all the way from Perth for your inspiration! It was fun! My class will absolutely love this ❤️
HIP HIP ARRAY
Earlier in the term I threw an “Array Party” as we introduced arrays and multiplication as repeated addition. The #FabFours searched the classroom to find contextual “everyday” array examples and used #Keynote to capture and annotate them! @SHPSThornlie@AppleEDU
We challenged Ss to spend time in the garden. After meditating Ss were encouraged to sketch what their attention was drawn to. Some of our creative learners used #Keynote to create their sketches and included the Line Draw animate feature @AppleEDU@sophiekeeffe@SHPSThornlie
Amazing to see the way our #FabFours are utilising technology during remote learning. I love how it’s allowing us to stay as connected learners. Also, we have really only been teaching tech for a few weeks... Imagine what they will create by the end of the year! #creativethinkers
It’s not about liking the sound of our own voice or having perfect hair/makeup. It’s about connection with our students. Bringing lightness into their lives & spreading joy when we can. @sophiekeeffe starting our day with a joke for giggles. Edited on #iMovie shared on @Seesaw
