@amazingatheist But are they actually being informed? I know numerous people that received a DS or other diagnosis during pregnancy who got so much pushback and so little support from their Ob, they had to seek alternate care. That goes beyond informed choice
@KenseiAbbot@BussyKeaton@KenseiAbbott To each other’s kids. I am very aware of their feelings on this topic. And their 5 older kids were adults when they made the decision to adopt this baby. They were absolutely part of the decision.
@Porkchop_EXP Everything in this post is basically false. You can’t screen healthy embryos for either of those things. The case in question was not and “early stage abortion” it was more than halfway through the pregnancy and just 1-3 weeks away from viability.
@Angiepants@SalvMattera The event that began this debate online in the last few days was an “influencer” couple who aborted this baby because it likely had downs syndrome
@BussyKeaton My aunt and uncle- who have absolutely called this Eugenics- adopted a severely disabled child like your cousin out of foster care after having 7 kids of their own. They have been caring for him for the last 18 years, and their adult children are lining up to care for him

Give glory to God in all things!
@ZayynHassan Ever single person I know who has adopted disabled, drug addicted or older children out of foster care is conservative, religious and pro-life. They adopt the most, they donate the most to charity. Literally everything you said is false.
@JezziiB Do either of those things even happen? Anyway, that isn’t a good analogy- abortion isn’t wrong because sex has consequences. It’s wrong because it takes the life of an innocent party. The equivalent to the examples you give is refusing to treat an std.
