This book was a refreshing read, and should be read by everyone in North America. It may help people better understand some of the issues faced by people from First Nations. #FirstNations
Professional military reading is the best form of PD. It encourages a wide range of diversity in intellectual development. If you haven’t started, now is the time, you will be a better officer/NCM for it.

And here's the truth. The media wants us to #distrust. Distrust compels us to listen. The problem is that training us to distrust leads us to question the truth, which leads us to question the ppl compelling us to distrust. 3/3
The last few years have significantly changed how we #trust ppl. Ppl we used to trust, we no longer trust. For example, to a greater degree, we used to trust ppl working in the fields of journalism, health care, and education. We extended them trust mostly because we had. 1/?
They were ppl we considered experts in areas we were not. But recent occurrences, sparked primarily by media and political leaders, have highlighted vast disagreements from ppl in these fields which have caused us to rethink how we trust and who we trust. 2/3
@army_SM_armee Awesome @kevinmathers1, this serves as an important symbol for the CAF and CA as you represent the NCMs/NCOs across all NATO forces. Well deserved and congratulations on your upcoming appointment! #worthy
@RobRunge1 Absolutely correct, and at a time when a force contends with some uncertainty in the domain of education, when it’s never been more important for a military as it is today. Recognize what is needed, deliver it, and continue to invest in a corps of fwd thinking NCMs. #PME
So much more than the 3Ds. RSMs have been entrusted with a great responsibility, and embracing these values and skills will enable you to meet the challenge. https://t.co/Vi1bzaaA2S
@Todstrick Great read that provides a beacon to refocus leadership efforts, and good to see emphasis on these points. They will become part of how leaders set their initial foundation in the (their) unit, how they will be remembered and what their legacy will be. @Army_Comd_Armee
@Todstrick I also like https://t.co/0FWAdVhfrl. However, here are a couple of alternatives:

Silence and isolation are natural choices but they pull us deeper and deeper, until we feel like we can’t ever be pulled out. Let's talk. Let's listen. Most importantly, let's connect. #BellLetsTalk
@Todstrick This could be uncomfortable, but we have to be humble and esteem others better than ourselves before we are able to learn from mistakes. It’s a matter of being teachable. Yes, reflection can be productive! Learn from them, own them and fix’em.
@UncleRickee Absolutely, I guess they think it’s easier to ask forgiveness than it is to get permission. This is someone who co-signed a document barring international travel. https://t.co/gHAB45XiRj
