I'm representing those who served our nation. I'm representing the vulnerable. I'm representing those that have unspoken voices. I'm representing our fathers, their struggle. I'm representing a nation that had high hopes. And I don't take it lightly.

We successfully organized an awareness-raising forum on the Digital Ethiopia 2030 Strategy and the implementation of digital transformation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The forum was held in collaboration with the Institute of Foreign Affairs and colleagues from the Office of the Prime Minister have made insightful deliberations on the Digital Ethiopia Strategy 2030.
During the session, constructive discussions took place on the critical importance of building strong digital capacity in Ethiopia in order to remain an integral part of todayโs increasingly competitive global environment. The session brought together senior officials and staff from our Ministry, the institute of Foreign Affairs and the Ethiopian Diaspora Agency.
Under the framework of our Ministryโs three-year Institutional Reform Program (2018โ2020 E.C.), we have successfully implemented key digital initiatives, including: Document Management System, Smart Office system, Online document authentication and Power of Attorney services that will have considerable contribution to the realization of the Digital Ethiopia 2030 Strategy. Forums like this play a vital role in further strengthening our institutional capacity and readiness for digital transformation.

The Office of the Prime Minister has issued a press statement reaffirming Ethiopiaโs commitment to democratic participation, national development, and public security following the countryโs 7th National Election.
According to the statement, more than 54 million Ethiopians registered to vote, while over 50,188 polling stations opened on time and served voters across the country. More than 10,438 candidates from 42 political parties contested seats in the House of Peoplesโ Representatives and regional councils, making the election one of Ethiopiaโs largest democratic exercises.
The statement rejected claims by some international commentators who described the election as predetermined, calling such views inaccurate and disrespectful to millions of Ethiopians who freely participated in the process. It also cited assessments from African, regional, and domestic observer missions, which recognized the election as a major institutional and administrative exercise.
The Office further highlighted Ethiopiaโs development progress, pointing to economic growth, infrastructure expansion, agricultural investment, manufacturing gains, and technological advancement as signs of the countryโs ongoing transformation.
At the same time, the statement condemned recent attacks against civilians, particularly in Arsi Zone and surrounding areas, describing them as part of broader attempts to create instability, spread fear, and disrupt democratic processes.
The government stressed that political grievances must be addressed through Ethiopiaโs constitutional framework, the National Dialogue process, and democratic institutions, not through violence or attacks on civilians.
โExtremism, however, has no place in Ethiopia!โ
