Reminded of the reference to the Nagai (Leiden) Plates during our #EnMannEnMakkal Yatra in Nagapattinam in December 2023.

Today, two years later, our beloved PM Thiru @narendramodi avl is bringing these historic plates back to India, restoring a priceless chapter of Chola history to its rightful homeland.

சுமத்திரா வை (இன்றைய இந்தோனேசியா) ஆண்ட, ஸ்ரீவிஜய பேரரசின் அரசன் மரவிஜய துங்க வர்மன், உலகின் மிக உயர்ந்த சோழப்பேரரசன் ராஜராஜசோழனிடம் அவரது சாம்ராஜயத்தில் ஒரு புத்தவிகாரம் கட்டிக்கொள்ள உதவி கேட்டார்.

நட்பின் அடிப்படையில் நிலமும் உதவிகளையும் வழங்கி நாகப்பட்டினத்தில் சூடாமணி விகாரத்தையும் கட்டிக்கொடுத்தார் ராஜராஜசோழன்!

அந்த விகாரத்தை நிர்வகிக்க ஆனைமங்கலம் என்கிற ஊரை தானமாக வழங்கினார். இலங்கையிலிருந்து புத்த பிட்சுகள் தினம்தினம் வந்து வணங்கிய வரலாற்று சிறப்பு மிக்க இந்த சூடாமணி விகாரத்தை பின்னாளில் , ப்ரெஞ்ச் பாதிரிகள் வேண்டுகோளை ஏற்ற வெள்ளைய ஆளுநர் நேப்பியர் (இவர் பெயரில்தான் கூவத்தில் நேப்பியர் பாலம் உள்ளது ) உத்திரவிட்டு இடித்து தள்ளுகிறான்.

அந்த விகாரத்தை நிர்வகிக்க ஆனைமங்கலம் என்ற கிராமம் எழுதிக்கொடுக்கப்பட்ட விவகாரத்தை செப்பேட்டில் வடிக்கிறார் ராஜராஜசோழனின் மகன் ராஜேந்திரசோழன்!

அதுவே தமிழர்களின் தனிப்பெரும் வரலாற்று அடையாளமான ஆனைமங்கலம் செப்பேடுகள் !

தமிழ் மற்றும் சமஸ்கிருத்தில் உருவாக்கப்பட்ட இந்த செப்பேடுகளில் , தமிழர்களின் கலை மற்றும் அறிவியல் நுணுக்கங்கள் ,நில அளவை முறை ஆகியவை விளக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.

நம் மண்ணை டச்சு காரர்கள் அடக்கி ஆண்டபோது இந்த செப்பேடுகளை கொண்டு சென்றுவிட்டனர். லெய்டன் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் இந்த செப்பேடுகள் வைக்கப்பட்டு ‘லேய்டன் செப்பேடுகள்’ என்ற அழைக்கப்பட்டன.

இன்று இந்த செப்பேடுகள் நெதர்லாந்து சென்ற @narendramodi அவர்களிடம் ஒப்படைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. அவரது மிகப்பெரும் ஆளுமையே இதற்கு காரணம் .

The Prime Minister is truly worthy of praise for bringing back one of the greatest historical treasures of the Tamil people.

Mara Vijayottunga Varman, the ruler of the Srivijaya Empire, who ruled Sumatra (present-day Indonesia), sought the support of the great Chola emperor Rajaraja Chola I to establish a Buddhist vihara in his empire.

Based on friendship, Rajaraja Chola provided land and assistance and enabled the construction of the Chudamani Vihara at Nagapattinam.

To administer this vihara, the village of Anaimangalam was granted as a donation. This historically significant Chudamani Vihara, where Buddhist monks from Sri Lanka visited daily for worship, was later demolished on the orders of Governor Francis Napier, who accepted the request of French missionaries. (The Napier Bridge in Cooum is named after him.)

The grant of the village Anaimangalam for the administration of the vihara was inscribed in copper plates by the son of Rajaraja Chola, the great emperor Rajendra Chola I.

These are the renowned Anaimangalam copper plates, a unique historical identity of the Tamil people.

These inscriptions, written in both Tamil and Sanskrit, vividly explain the artistic excellence, scientific knowledge, and land measurement systems of the Tamils.

During the period when the Dutch ruled our land, these copper plates were taken away and It was placed at Leiden University. where they came to be known as the Leiden Plates.

Today, these plates have been handed over to Narendra Modi ji during his visit to the Netherlands. This stands as a testament to his great leadership and global stature.

தமிழகத்தில், தேர்தல் வாக்குறுதியாக, ஒரு குவின்டால் நெல்லுக்கு குறைந்தபட்ச ஆதார விலையாக ₹3,500 வழங்கப்படும் என்று கூறி ஆட்சிக்கு வந்துள்ள தமிழக முதலமைச்சர் திரு @TVKVijayHQ அவர்கள், தமிழக அரசு சார்பாக வழங்கப்படும் ஊக்கத்தொகையை உயர்த்தி, ₹3,500 ஆக விவசாயிகளுக்கு விரைவில் வழங்குவார் என்று எதிர்பார்க்கிறோம்.

We have created the email ID [email protected] to extend legal support in matters concerning Dharma and to build a strong network of advocates across Bharat who are willing to contribute to this cause.

We invite lawyers, including seniors, who are willing to assist on a pro bono basis. Our team will provide necessary guidance, along with drafts of petitions, complaints, FIRs, and other legal documents, to enable effective action in respective jurisdictions. Senior advocates willing to mentor and guide the initiative are most welcome.

This initiative is being coordinated from Delhi under the guidance of Sr. Adv. Makarand D. Adkar Ji (@AdkarMakarand).

The Etihad ground staff is avoiding me more than my ex ever did — literally turning their faces away and telling me “just call customer care”… which has been busy for hours. I’m standing here like a beggar in my own nightmare.
