Muchas gracias (thank you) @sgranana and colleagues for the opportunity to coauthor this article on exploring drug drug interactions @LivuniILCaMS @NIHRCRN_nwcoast @LivHospitals

General Framework to Quantitatively Predict Pharmacokinetic Induction Drug-Drug Interactions Using In Vitro Data https://t.co/8XPg5d87cs
Fantastic event! It's always a pleasure to have a look at the research is conducted in our Faculty! A special mention to @ShakirAtoyebi who presented his work on PBPK & pregnancy
I learned a powerful message: pregnancy and breastfeeding does not equal to "special" or "vulnerable" population, and we should not use this as an excuse to say it is hard to do research. We need more representation, evidence based clinical trials and PK modelling can help too.
Today's DE&I session at #acop13 was fantastic! Amazing speakers, moderators and great discussion. A special mention to @CatrionaWaitt who delivered an outstanding and compelling presentation on equity access to research.
I am extremely grateful to have presented my work in #ACoP13 in such a unique way! No slides but in great company with HIV and TB plush toys! A big thanks to my mentor Dean for helping me prepare the presentation & everyone who participated in the communications challenge!
#ACoP13 celebrating @sgranana who has just been awarded a young investigator communications challenge prize for her work on the #PBPK module of the #DDI between rifapentine and rilpivirine. As @stacey_xmastree described it, an 'interpretive dance'! @livuniHLS@ISOP1
Congratulations to @HMKinvig who passed her PhD viva with minor corrections this afternoon. Innovative work to integrate experimental and computational approaches for the prediction of drug-drug interactions. HIV, TB, Hep C and leprosy drugs including RIF, DTG, ATV/r and more.
If anyone wants to hear what is going on with HLS-47 redundancies at UoL, here's an interesting and well explained podcast (21.27-54.12 min) featuring my colleague @AliceEmmaLouise . Well said!!
Skeptics with a K: Episode #298
In this extended episode of Skeptics with a K, Alice talks about the planned redundancies from @LivUni Faculty of Health and Life Sciences, and Mike discusses green software development and how Bitcoin works. https://t.co/4oHVh3vcdB
#hls47
PGR reps from across FHLS have put together this open letter to specifically adress the PGR student support needs that are not being met, in the potential loss of their supervisors by #HLS47 redundancies.

@ULivUCU2#studentmentalhealth
Excellent talk by Dr Shahin Lockman highlighting the lack of data for HIV treatment in pregnancy and that "exclusion from research does not remove risk, but simply shifts risk". #vCROI2021
Also, I am very proud to work with @CamottiMaiara@HMKinvig@NicolasCottura and Fazila Bunglawala that all made brilliant spotlight presentations for #vCROI2021. I highly recommend to have a look at them if you are interested in PBPK modelling for HIV or COVID-19!
Today at #vCROI2021 I had the opportunity to watch some excellent presentations and I wanted to add that I much enjoyed seeing women and POC leading some incredible research because it provides me inspiration and some sense of representation.
#InternationalWomensDay
As we approach #IWD2021, @VirTUAL_UoL celebrates the skills, energy and creativity of our female team members who #ChooseToChallenge many stereotypes. @CamottiMaiara, working with @siccardi_marco is building PBPK models to understand drug-drug interactions in HIV and TB
Academic colleagues, @LivUni are targeting 47 colleagues with redundancy, after an abrupt, non-consultative and opaque review which uses weaponised grant income and citation metrics. Please sign and share this open letter to protest
