It is dangerous, selfish and entitled. It is stealing, not just from the organization and the charities, but all the other runners who legitimately registered for the race.
(Thread) Banditing is never ok. When a race sells out, it is because the RD/Municipality/organization knows the event can only handle X number of runners and plans for that number. When a person runs without registering - they take valuable resources away from that planned number

That is a huge safety concern - water, electrolytes, etc. Never mind STEALING a medal from a runner that paid for one. Finally not having your emergency contact info or waivers if something were to go wrong (which we are seeing more of particularly in healthy 20 YOs) - scary.
