Was talking to a 15 year old at a show a few days ago and he jokingly called me an old man and when I said I was a woman instead of being transphobic he instantly switched to calling me grandma. Inclusively dunked on thank you woke child
BREAKING: CHINA DESTROYS TRUMP
Trump: We need $2 billion a day to reopen the Strait of Hormuz
China's FM Senator: But the Strait of Hormuz was already open before the war? The root cause of this disruption is your illegal military operations against Iran.
You have created a Global Crisis OUT OF NOTHING”
Kenya's big cats face untold challenges to their survival. Sadly, they haven't escaped the danger of snares – but this male was lucky. A camera trap on the Great Plains caught something that looked, at first glance, like lions enjoying a lazy morning. Then, through the thermal lens, a wire snare came into focus – cinched around one of the males' necks.
It was a Sunday, but that doesn't matter. Our mobile veterinary initiative is on call every day, and responded quickly to the call-out. In a joint operation with KWS, Great Plains, Big Life, and Lion Guardians, the wire was removed, the wound treated, and he rejoined his coalition – who had waited nearby throughout.
This treatment took place in 2024 and, since then, we have been able to mount similar life-saving interventions, including helping a lion out of a 15-foot pit.
Every lion treatment depends on teams that are funded, equipped, and ready to respond any day of the week. Monthly donations help make that possible – just like this lion could count on his friends, knowing we can count on your support means we can invest for the future. If you are not already giving regularly, please consider setting one up today: https://t.co/NVpsbuFaAn
Even for Kipekee, this is next level! Our small, spoiled girl crowns herself the princess of every corner she trundles into. Today, she decided to give herself a nice little throne atop Mzinga. Our nanny-with-a-heart-of-gold didn't even blink – she was just happy to have Kipekee time!
Kipekee is the youngest in the Nairobi herd, which means she is rarely short of company. She arrived at our Nursery fragile, tiny and in need of round-the-clock care. The confidence she now shows is the result of months of patient, consistent support – from the Keepers who are with her every day, and our supporters who enable us to provide the care she needs.

The Bay Area Renaissance Festival in Dade City, Florida, is underway right now and is offering elephant rides yet again. These intelligent, social animals endure a lifetime of suffering for a brief ride. #NoFunForElephants
Four years ago this week, a group of ex-orphans arrived at our Ithumba stockades with something very small trailing behind them – a calf just days old, too weak to nurse, with no mother anywhere to be found. The ex-orphans had found him on their wild wanderings and brought him somewhere they knew help could be found.
Today, Toto turns four years old. He is gentle, patient, and quietly confident – and still as devoted to his Keepers.
Join us in wishing Toto a happy birthday in the comments, then watch his rescue story at: https://t.co/Ymaj6fE0FY
