After 14 years (8 years of PhD coursework & dissertation and 6 years of tenure track). I am proud to announce that I have earned tenure at the University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Nursing. Second Black faculty member to achieve this status since the school’s inception.

On this day in 1983, 43 years ago, Michael Jackson publicly performed his first Moonwalk.

After the performance, he burst into tears, thinking it had been a disaster.
