Ro, I count three claims and zero working calculators.
"$10 trillion for three wars." Brown University's Costs of War project, the number every progressive loves to wave around, put ALL post-9/11 war costs at about $8 trillion through 2022. That total already includes VA care out to 2050, Homeland Security, and interest. Iran is not even in it. CENTCOM told Congress Iran cost about $43.6 billion through Sept 3. You have personally quoted $230 billion and $400 billion, depending on which microphone was closer. Pick one. Somewhere a calculator is filing a hostile work environment complaint.
"All Republican failures." The 2001 AUMF passed the Senate 98-0 and the House 420-1. Iraq passed the Senate 77-23, with yes votes from Biden, Clinton, Kerry, and Schumer. Obama ran Afghanistan (and the surge) for eight years, and Biden's Autopen handled the exit. We all remember Abbey Gate. Bipartisan wars, partisan memory. You're muddying the water to make it look deep.
"Tax breaks to the rich." The 2017 law cut EVERY bracket, roughly doubled the standard deduction, and expanded the child tax credit. About 4 in 5 households paid less in 2018. Your staff must have been hiding behind the door when that memo went out.
Now the debt you suddenly care about:
o Bush: +$4.9 trillion
o Obama: +$9.3 trillion
o Biden's Autopen: +$8.5 trillion
Obama alone added nearly double Bush. CBO says the long-run driver is Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and interest. Not three wars and three tax bills. And you, @RoKhanna, voted for the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan. Borrowed. Every. Dime.
What's next? A Democrat writes an expiration date into his own subsidy law, then blames Republicans when it expires... wait, you already did that with the ACA COVID subsidies.
Quinn's Second Law: watch what they accuse conservatives of doing. Debt? Check. Quinn's 25th: great at giving away other people's money. Also check.
The fallacy here is non causa pro causa (false cause). You picked six events, stapled a made-up number to them, and blamed the guys you don't like. That's not analysis. That's a brain still in beta.
And spare me the "tax the rich" sermon. You're one of the wealthiest members of Congress. When you voluntarily send the IRS DOUBLE what you owe, standard deduction only, no itemizing, then I'll sit still for the lecture. Until then, you're the hood ornament on the clown car.
Real question, Congressman: besides handing out borrowed money, what have you done that left one single family LESS dependent on Washington? Building a permanent underclass that votes for whoever promises the next handout is not compassion. The old South had that arrangement too, and nobody called it progress.
Tell me which line item YOU would cut. I'll wait. Bring a snack.
But what do I know, I'm only a science teacher who checks the denominator before hitting post.

They are so close to the answer...
The person who made this post is right. They are well beyond the tipping point for simple removal.
Meanwhile, another boat just landed with more invaders.
Tell me more about how "Only police officers should have guns".
So what do you do when those police officers decide to run away and leave you to fend for yourself?
Before they kill you, make sure you ask all of those doctors and lawyers to wear condoms when they r*pe your wife and daughters.
Ro Khanna posted this last night. I read it twice looking for the true part, and I'm still looking.
I was an Army medic in Iraq. When you're packing a wound at two in the morning, nobody asks how the patient's congressman voted. So it gets under my skin when a sitting member of Congress turns those wars into a partisan scorecard and then gets the score wrong.
Start with Afghanistan. The 2001 authorization passed the Senate 98-0 and the House 420-1. The one no vote in the whole Capitol belonged to Barbara Lee, a Democrat from Ro's own state. Biden, Clinton, Kerry, Reid, and Schumer all voted yes. So did Bernie, which I'm guessing won't come up at their rally. Obama sent about 30,000 more troops in the surge, Democratic Congresses kept paying for it, and Biden's Autopen ran the exit. Thirteen service members died at Abbey Gate. I remember. I hope Ro does.
Iraq: 29 Senate Democrats voted yes, including Biden, Clinton, Kerry, Edwards, Schumer, Reid, Daschle, and Feinstein. Over in the House, 81 Democrats voted yes, Adam Schiff and Ed Markey among them. Calling that "all Republican" takes real delusions of adequacy.
The Bush tax cuts? In December 2010, Obama and a Democratic Congress extended them. In January 2013, Obama and a Democratic Senate made most of them PERMANENT. If you renew the lease and then buy the house, you don't get to keep calling it the landlord's place.
Credit where it's earned: Democrats did vote against the 2017 tax law and against the Iran war. That's two out of Ro's six. In my classroom that's a 33 percent. That's an F, and I'd go lower if the gradebook let me.
Now the debt, the part that should keep every parent up at night:
o Bush: +$4.9 trillion
o Obama: +$9.3 trillion
o Biden's Autopen: +$8.5 trillion
Obama by himself added almost twice what Bush did. CBO says the long-term drivers are Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and interest on what we already owe. Ro voted for the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan, every dollar of it borrowed, and somehow it never made his list. He couldn't pour water out of a boot with instructions on the heel, but he managed to leave his own vote off the tab.
His $10 trillion is made up too. Brown University's Costs of War project, the left's favorite source on this, puts ALL post-9/11 war costs at about $8 trillion through 2022, and that already includes veterans' care out to 2050 plus interest. Iran isn't in it. If Ro's math leaves you confused, that's on purpose. He's muddying the water so it looks deep.
Jim Quinn's Second Law: watch what liberals accuse conservatives of doing. Logicians call Ro's move non causa pro causa (false cause). Grab six events, staple a number on them, blame whoever you don't like.
What's next? A Democrat votes for the war, funds it for a decade, extends the tax cuts, and then blames Republicans for the bill... wait, I'm looking at the screenshot. He already did.
And the "tax the rich" sermon comes from one of the wealthiest men in Congress. Ro, file this year with the standard deduction only and mail the IRS double what you owe. Then I will listen.
Here's what actually makes me mad. Combat-wounded veterans who were medically retired out of those same wars still have their retirement pay docked because they also draw disability. The Major Richard Star Act (HR 2102) fixes that for about $10 billion over ten years, pocket lint next to Ro's numbers. If you care what those wars cost, Congressman, the people who paid it are waiting. The discharge petition is H.Res. 1247. Sign it.
One last question. Besides spending borrowed money, what have you done that left one family LESS dependent on Washington? Keeping an underclass waiting on the next check and voting for whoever promises it isn't compassion. The antebellum South depended on a dependent class too, and nobody should call that progress.
Which line item would you cut? Tell me in the comments. Ro, I saved you a seat up front.
But what do I know, I'm only an old Army medic who reads the roll call before he posts.

Dear President Trump, Thomas Sowell is an American treasure. Please consider honoring him with the Presidential Medal of Freedom. I can’t think of a greater representative of American values.
Cotton better hope another republican doesn't run against him because he has lost a lot of support including mine, He has turned into part of the DC swamp.
@SenTomCotton
🔥 LET’S GO: Pete Hegseth EXPOSED Liberal Arts Colleges & Ivy Leagues for being Woke Factories:
“Our COLLEGES have become Anti America, DEI Woke Factories”
MIC DROP 👏
If you think Trump is fighting any war for Israel, you are insanely misinformed.
Thousands of Americans have died at Iran's hands since 1979.
Anyone old enough to remember 1979 damn sure knows why we are joining Iran's war and ending it.
🚨 HOLY SMOKES: Sec. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Dr. Oz have just announced OVER *ONE MILLION* PEOPLE are on Obamacare with NO Social Security number…
🤯🤯
It’s one big racket! Shut it down!
“They submit applications for fake people and enroll stolen identities all to collect millions of dollars in fees from insurance companies for selling plans they never legitimately sold!”
“The Obamacare marketplace is plagued by fraud, in large part because the Biden administration dismantled basic program integrity guardrails.”
“More than a million people enrolled in Obamacare without social security numbers on file. That is a glaring warning side of fraud.”
“If even a single person was on Obamacare with no social security number, we should have found out why are we paying people who we don't know if they actually exist.”
“Shady insurance agents and other bad actors have been getting paid to enroll unsuspecting Americans in health plans they never signed up for.”
“Thanks to this aggressive enforcement strategywe've already eliminated thousands of fraudulent policies and we're just getting started.”
“We’re also working with insurers to cancel every policy that should never have been issued and recover every tax payer dollar that was fraudulently paid out.”
This is why we need to pass Trump’s plan!

IRENE
October 3, 1993.
What began as a mission to capture senior leaders of Mohamed Farrah Aidid’s organization became one of the most intense urban battles in modern American military history.
In the streets of Mogadishu, the men of Task Force Ranger… alongside those who fought to reach and recover them… demonstrated extraordinary courage under relentless fire.
18 Americans were killed. Dozens more were wounded.
Among them, MSG Gary Gordon and SFC Randy Shughart knowingly volunteered to enter an almost impossible situation to protect the crew of a downed Black Hawk. Both were killed and later posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor.
But Operation Gothic Serpent is bigger than any single story…
It is a story of Rangers, special operators, aviators, conventional forces, and coalition partners fighting through chaos for the men beside them.
Thirty-three years later, we remember the fallen, honor the wounded, and recognize every man who fought through those streets.
Their courage deserves more than a movie.
It deserves to be remembered.
Never forget.
Strength & Honor
