@WCWohlforth Isnt there an argument to be made for the EU to be considered as a rough peer? While it certainly isnt a military power, it is matching the others in population economic terms and has a lot of the soft power tools/normative power as well.

@minna_alander I suppose at least some here would say that the main contingency plan would be the institutional change of the EU away from unanimity requirements and additional competencies for the Union level. Which is, in turn, blocked by many of the smaller members.

@_ManuelMueller Spannend. Ich fände auch ein What-If-Szenario interessant, dass einen Europäischen Wahlkreis in der vom EP vorgeschlagenen Form mit abbildet. (Auch wenn nicht anzunehmen ist, dass dieser zeitnah tatsächlich käme).
