You can call it “stepping up” but some will call it “main character energy”.
Part of leadership is also recognizing when you should take a step back and let others shine.
Huge huge summer which the club have to get right. So many big decisions to make regarding incomings and outcomings. There's less room for error compared to last summer. Lot of work to do.
Immensely proud of the team. Nullifying the best attacking side since MSN is no joke. 0 open play goals conceded since the Haaland winner.
Gabriel was my MOTM across the 120'.
Havertz, MLS top quality.
On we go to next ssn. I'll never stop backing this coach and team.
Mosquera is an elite counter presser and dueller when the opponent is receiving the ball.
Streets won't forget his cameo vs Tottenham away.
1v1 he's weak as he is a CB and also technical limitations but all in all he is good enough to start.
Wharton being English Cesc is a disgraceful comparison tbh. Nowhere near the final third impact, engine and leadership of a Cesc. Cesc also way better defensively and more complete.
I like Wharton but my word, aesthetics boost rep by so much on this app.
@Jeff_george23 Yeah good comparison.
Still got a long way to go to match Xhaka's ground duelling, availability + engine and also Xhaka added goals to his game in 22/23.
Would I be mad to say no to Rogers.
LW we have Eze and Trossard.
#10 we have Ødegaard, Nwaneri and Saka (may move inside to fit Dowman). Not even mentioning Eze, Merino and Havertz.
For Rogers to come, Trossard, Nwaneri and one of Ødegaard/Havertz/Merino would have to go.
Selhurst gave elite aesthetics. Real old school vibes from these pics. I've been smiling ear to ear for the past hour scrolling. Here's some of my favourites.
