@TEnglishSport Tom - why did the player give the referee a decision to make by raising his hand to his forehead in the first instance.
It’s an unnatural position and ultimately gave the ref a decision to make, which I believe was the correct one.

I understand the emotion around a huge penalty decision in a massive game. Football does that to people.

But at some point emotion has to give way to evidence. When freeze frames, angles and clear contact are sitting right in front of us, denying it because it doesn’t suit your team or narrative just kills any honest debate.

What’s even worse is when professionals and pundits, who know the game inside out, deliberately drive a narrative to suit an agenda rather than analyse what’s actually in front of them. That only fuels tribalism and misinformation.

You can debate consistency. You can debate interpretation. But you can’t just ignore unrefutable evidence because it’s inconvenient. Football discussion is far better when honesty matters more than point scoring.

Derek McInnes said last night that the Celtic penalty decision was “disgusting.”

Now let’s remember, this is coming from a man who was openly filmed singing “up to my knees in Fenian blood.”

So let’s call it exactly what it is.

The only thing truly disgusting in all of this is Derek McInnes himself. A man with a history of sectarian behaviour trying to take the moral high ground over a football decision is beyond laughable.

I genuinely do not care whether you support Celtic, Rangers, Hearts or anyone else — singing songs like that is unacceptable. It’s bigoted, it’s sectarian, and it should never be brushed aside or forgotten.

But somehow a penalty decision is what disgusts him? Have a word with yourself.

My wife ran it a few years ago but went over on her ankle the week before and sustained an evulsion fracture but stocked up on pain killers and ran it. Well done again!
