A Lord Murugan idol, along with other precious articles, has been stolen from the sanctum sanctorum of the Sri Maragadha Bala Dhandayuthapani Murugan Temple in Tamil Nadu.

The temple had three iron security doors, an alarm system and CCTV cameras. The unidentified thieves allegedly breached the security, disabled the alarm and tampered with the CCTV cameras before escaping with the idol.

Even God's idol is not safe. Greed has outshined even divinity.

Two stray dogs reportedly prevented a man from molesting a woman who was sitting by the roadside near a railway overbridge in the Thudiyalur area, with CCTV footage capturing the dogs repeatedly intervening to stop the accused.

According to police, the woman, who was reportedly mentally challenged, was regularly accompanied by the two stray dogs. The animals were near her when the accused approached the spot late at night.

CCTV footage showed the man initially trying to drive the dogs away. He reportedly picked up a stone and chased them away from the woman. However, the dogs moved only a short distance before returning and continuing to bark at him.

2367 kgs EOS-05 successfully placed by GLSV in orbit. It will be India's first dedicated earth imaging satellite from a geostationary orbit that can see anywhere in the Indian subcontinent at 40m "stated" resolution ;)

Now ISRO must regularly post one non-sensitive image of interest from India. For a start, point it at the glacier collapse area and release the latest images.
