One of the greatest ever anti-war (Iraq) speeches by the late, great Tony Benn:
“What fools we are to live in a generation for which war is a computer game for our children and just an interesting little channel for news item.
Every Member of Parliament tonight who votes for the Government motion will be consciously and deliberately accepting responsibility for the deaths of innocent people if the war begins.”

7 minutes of unapologetic disco magic celebrating Biddu, Bappi Da and Shankar Ehsaan Loy.
Even two left feet won’t survive this groove!
I was rooting for Afg and started watching the game in run chase 11th over. Thought it was over for them by 19th over. Turns out that 20th over was not the end of the match but a beginning of a thriller. And what a thriller it was! #SAvAFG#T20WorldCup2026
@ShivAroor Separate the metros from the state government just like other world class cities Governed as city or state with elected empowered mayor or CM. Majority of taxes collected in the city utilizes for that city. Cities allowed to borrow by issuing bonds.
Golden words by @Kasparov63 - The unequal prosperity of capitalism is still far superior to the equal misery of socialism.

@amitvarma Do bring Gary on your TSATU some day. It will be a hell of a talk.
@joybhattacharj I got introduced to a whole new world of espionage and intrigue when I read The Devil's Alternative as a teenager. Read many more later marveling at the detailing in all aspects of the story. Last book I read was his memoir 'The Outsider'. It's fascinating.
@praveenswami India did experience a different war after partition. And it was Nehru who sought of leaving India's tribal ways to new ways on education, science, etc. He did not succeed much because he only used Indian State for the efforts and did not use private sector.
In the 2010s Naralikar, Dabholkar and 2 others(I think) ran a famous experiment through the paper Sakal. They devised a statistical test of astrology. They took horoscopes of the 100 scholarly students and 100 of those with learning difficulties. 1/
Sir, I think the Potus might be remembering one chat he has with our PM. PM said to Potus that the dispute with Pak is centuries old, equating Pak with older Muslim jihad https://t.co/JfHeW7uevf
Thanks for pointing it out that J&K is a territorial dispute that started in 1947
When I posted the following 👇🏾a number of eminent ladies and venerable gentleman rather very acerbically disagreed
“ Someone in the US establishment needs to seriously educate their President @POTUS@realDonaldTrump that Kashmir is not a biblical 1000 year old conflict.
It started on 22 nd October 1947 - 78 years ago when Pakistan invaded the Independent State of Jammu & Kashmir that subsequently was ceded to India in’ FULL’ by Maharaja Hari Singh on 26 th October 1947 that includes areas illegally occupied by Pakistan till now .
How difficult is it to grasp this simple fact ?
@KanwalSibal
Indian media do not receive any cable subscription money. They run on ads which is also not much. Have no ground reporters or are miniscule. All they can do is hold debates and endless discussion to attract audience. Hence the need for drama in debates.
I have noticed something while monitoring Indian and Pakistani media all these years. Pakistani TV channels don't invite Indians for debates but Indian TV channels invite Pakistanis every day. For the life of me I have not been able to understand why this is. What do you guys think?
