Everyone has their Speciality - As the saying goes; “For warfare there are men renowned in it, And for books there are writers and accountants.”
Question:
You stated that a man may possess courage and religious knowledge yet still be unsuitable for the caliphate because he lacks political acumen. Does this imply that ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib lacked political skill?
Shaykh Muqbil ibn Hādī al-Wādiʿī:
Consider Abū Hurayrah, who preserved some five thousand ḥadīths, against Khālid ibn al-Walīd, who preserved perhaps only ten. Yet Khālid was the hero of the battlefield, while Abū Hurayrah was the foremost guardian of the sayings of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).
“For warfare there are men renowned in it, And for books there are writers and accountants.”
Consider also Abū Bakr. During the Wars of Apostasy, circumstances seemed to turn entirely against him, yet Allah granted him relief and a way through. ʿUmar urged him, “Remain in Madīnah.” Abū Bakr replied, “Are you saying this, ʿUmar? By Allah, if they withheld from me even the young she-goat they used to give the Messenger of Allah, I would fight them for it.”
The conquests under ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb were perhaps the greatest of any period in Islamic history. Those who came after him, ʿUthmn and ʿAlī, were instead occupied with internal strife and warfare. This does not mean ʿAlī lacked political skill.
What I mean is that a scholar may possess knowledge without possessing political capacity.
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: “People are like a hundred camels; among them you will scarcely find one fit to ride.”
It is rare to find someone who combines fitness for leadership with nobility, courage, and knowledge all at once. Any given person may fall short in one of these qualities, or in several.

Help us build a masjid in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico 🇵🇷, in shaa Allah 🤲🏽
For clarity, I am currently traveling outside of Saudi Arabia, where fundraising regulations do not apply to me, as fundraising is not allowed in Saudi Arabia with out the proper legal requirements, now that I’m traveling abroad, I am now able to share this campaign.
Every donation, no matter the amount, helps us take another step toward establishing a house of worship for the Muslim community in Puerto Rico. Jazak Allah khairun

Especially in the summer months with these late 'Eshaa' times & early Fajr times, people of worship do not talk much after 'Eshaa' & socialize; their hearts are connected to something greater.
One of the easiest ways to ruin your night prayers & your Fajr prayer is staying up late without need.
Get to sleep after 'Eshaa' prayer & seek reward in doing so, as it is needed rest which enables you to worship by Allah's Permission. As some of the Salaf used to say: A real worshipper's sleep is counted as worship for him (because of his intention).
Do not be like the heedless, staying up late, eating, socializing, loose talking, and then incapable of getting up for prayer in its time. How obvious is this trap, yet how many are caught in it?!

Dear brothers & sisters: Avoid gossip & unnecessary speech. Our tongues can destroy us. Speak good or keep silent, a timeless Sunnah. Pray for your teachers, leaders, communities & families, for their guidance & uprightness. Ask Him for guidance in matters that you do not understand. Don't feel you have to say something about everything. Silence is true wisdom, yet few realize it.
