It's a dangerous business, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to.
18 years ago today, Jaÿ-Z became the first rapper to headline Glastonbury and trolled Oasis when they said rap had no place there. He came on stage playing their song Wonderwall then flipped it into 99 Problems and destroyed the stage.
I’m sorry but does the defensive coordinator tell the opposing offense what coverage they are going to play?
This is just unnecessarily soft from the USGA.
It’s the players job to adjust to the conditions in front of them.
The position of the tours and the equipment companies has always been that no distance problem exists and nothing should change. They don't want to collaborate with the governing bodies in good faith to formulate a more effective rollback. They want to delay and quibble, quibble and delay until finally the whole thing falls apart.
The proposed golf ball ODS is too tentative and likely wouldn't have the desired effect. That appears true. But if the USGA and R&A continue to give veto power to the game's most regulation-hostile stakeholders, they will never make any significant progress. At some point, they will need to do something Titleist doesn't like, and do it with conviction.
@LouStagner But would he trust it in a big spot in a tournament when he’s hit one that size thousands of times and seen bad results? (He probably would cuz he’s the best driver of the generation. His competitors prob not).
