يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّبِيُّ قُل لِّأَزۡوَٰجِكَ وَبَنَاتِكَ وَنِسَآءِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ يُدۡنِينَ عَلَيۡهِنَّ مِن جَلَٰبِيبِهِنَّۚ ذَٰلِكَ أَدۡنَىٰٓ أَن يُعۡرَفۡنَ فَلَا يُؤۡذَيۡنَۗ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ غَفُورٗا رَّحِيمٗا

59. اے نبی ﷺ ! اپنی بیویوں اپنی بیٹیوں اور اہل ایمان خواتین سے کہہ دیں کہ وہ اپ��ے اوپر اپنی چادروں کا ایک حصہ لٹکا لیا کریں۔ یہ اس سے نزدیک تر ہے کہ وہ پہچان لی جائیں تو انہیں کوئی ایذا نہ پہنچائی جائے۔ } اور اللہ بہت بخشنے والا نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves [part] of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.

The Light (24:31)

وَقُل لِّلْمُؤْمِنَـٰتِ يَغْضُضْنَ مِنْ أَبْصَـٰرِهِنَّ وَيَحْفَظْنَ فُرُوجَهُنَّ وَلَا يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلَّا مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا ۖ وَلْيَضْرِبْنَ بِخُمُرِهِنَّ عَلَىٰ جُيُوبِهِنَّ ۖ وَلَا يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلَّا لِبُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوْ ءَابَآئِهِنَّ أَوْ ءَابَآءِ بُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوْ أَبْنَآئِهِنَّ أَوْ أَبْنَآءِ بُعُولَتِهِنَّ ��َوْ إِخْوَٰنِهِنَّ أَوْ بَنِىٓ إِخْوَٰنِهِنَّ أَوْ بَنِىٓ أَخَوَٰتِهِنَّ أَوْ نِسَآئِهِنَّ أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَـٰنُهُنَّ أَوِ ٱلتَّـٰبِعِينَ غَيْرِ أُو۟لِى ٱلْإِرْبَةِ مِنَ ٱلرِّجَالِ أَوِ ٱلطِّفْلِ ٱلَّذِينَ لَمْ يَظْهَرُوا۟ عَلَىٰ عَوْرَٰتِ ٱلنِّسَآءِ ۖ وَلَا يَضْرِبْنَ بِأَرْجُلِهِنَّ لِيُعْلَمَ مَا يُخْفِينَ مِن زِينَتِهِنَّ ۚ وَتُوبُوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ جَمِيعًا أَيُّهَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ ٣١

And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and guard their chastity, and not to reveal their adornments except what normally appears. Let them draw their veils over their chests, and not reveal their ˹hidden˺ adornments except to their husbands, their fathers, their fathers-in-law, their sons, their stepsons, their brothers, their brothers’ sons or sisters’ sons, their fellow women, those ˹bondwomen˺ in their possession, male attendants with no desire, or children who are still unaware of women’s nakedness. Let them not stomp their feet, drawing attention to their hidden adornments. Turn to Allah in repentance all together, O believers, so that you may be successful.

اور مؤمن عورتوں سے بھی کہہ دیجیے کہ وہ اپنی نگاہیں نیچی رکھا کریں اور اپنی شرم گاہوں کی حفاظت کریں اور وہ اپنی زینت کا اظہار نہ کریں سوائے اس کے جو اس میں سے از خود ظاہر ہوجائے اور چاہیے کہ وہ اپنے گریبانوں پر اپنی اوڑھنیوں کے ُ بکلّ مار لیا کریں اور وہ نہ ظاہر کریں اپنی زینت کو (وہ اپنی زینت ظاہر نہ کریں کسی پر) سوائے اپنے شوہروں کے یا اپنے باپوں کے یا اپنے شوہروں کے باپوں کے یا اپنے بیٹوں کے یا اپنے شوہروں کے بیٹوں کے یا اپنے بھائیوں کے یا اپنے بھائیوں کے بیٹوں (بھتیجوں) کے یا اپنی بہنوں کے بیٹوں (بھانجوں) کے یا اپنی (جان پہچان کی) عورتوں کے یا ان کے جن کے مالک ہیں ان کے داہنے ہاتھیا ایسے زیردست مردوں کے جو اس طرح کی غرض نہیں رکھتے یا ان لڑکوں کے جو عورتوں کے مخفی معاملات سے ابھی ناواقف ہیں اور وہ اپنے پاؤں زمین پر مار کر نہ چلیں کہ ان کی اس زینت میں سے کچھ ظاہر ہوجائے جسے وہ چھپاتی ہیں اور اے اہل ایمان ! تم سب کے سب مل کر اللہ کی جناب میں توبہ کرو تاکہ تم فلاح پاؤ۔
