Captain Pramod Kumar Bajaj served in the Indian Army. Was invalided out after sustaining a disability during military operations.

He then cleared the UPSC and joined the Indian Revenue Service in 1990.

He rose to Commissioner of Income Tax with an unblemished record.

Graded Outstanding. Integrity rated Beyond Doubt.

In 2014 he applied for appointment to the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal.

He was ranked number one by the selection committee.

The government blocked his appointment.

Then fabricated charges against him.

Then suspended him.

Then forcibly retired him three months before his scheduled superannuation.

The Supreme Court struck down the forced retirement in 2023. Called it punitive and arbitrary.

The government still did not appoint him.

They formed a fourth selection committee. And put on it the same officer who had already apologised to the Supreme Court in contempt proceedings against Bajaj.

That committee rejected him again.

The Supreme Court in January 2026 called it a sordid tale of targeted departmental vendetta.

Fined the government Rs 5 lakh.

Ordered a fresh process.

The government has still not complied.

The Supreme Court issued contempt notice last week.

He has been fighting this since 2014.

He is still fighting.

आज सदन में केंद्रीय सशस्त्र पुलिस बल (सामान्य प्रशासन) विधेयक- 2026 पर चर्चा हो रही है, लेकिन यह विधेयक किसी भी तरह से सुधारात्मक कदम नहीं है।

बल्कि यह विधेयक सुप्रीम कोर्ट के निर्देशों को प्रभावहीन बनाने के लिए है। साथ ही CISF, CRPF, BSF, ITBP, SSB के काडर व अधिकारियों के साथ हो रहे प्रणालीगत अन्याय को बनाए रखने का सुनियोजित विधायी प्रयास है, जिसे समाप्त करने की कोशिश सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने की थी।

इन बलों में ज्यादातर अधिकारी वे हैं, जो डिप्टी कमांडेंट पद पर भर्ती हुए, अब उन्हीं पदों से रिटायर हो रहे हैं। सवाल है- कोई भी डिप्टी कमांडेंट, DG क्यों नहीं बन सकता?

सेना में भी अग्निवीर जैसी व्यवस्था लाई गई। अगर देश में स्थिति ऐसी रहेगी तो सेनाओं और सशस्त्र बलों में जवान किस इंटेंशन के साथ भर्ती होना चाहेंगे।

BJP सरकार आज उस वर्ग से अन्याय कर रही है, जो देश की सुरक्षा के लिए अपनी जान तक देने की हिम्मत रखते हैं। इसलिए मेरी मांग है कि इस बिल को वापस लिया जाए।

जो जवान देश की रक्षा करते हैं, ये सरकार उनके भविष्य और पदोन्नति का गला घोंटना चाहती है।

आज हमारे देश में लोकतंत्र जिंदा है, तो उसका एक कारण हमारे देश की पैरामिलिट्री फोर्स भी है, जिनका इस्तेमाल चुनाव के दौरान किया जाता है।

पैरामिलिट्री फोर्स के अंदर पिछले 5 साल में 529 जवानों ने देश के लिए अपनी कुर्बानी दी है। आज सरकार ऐसे जांबाजों का प्रमोशन रोक रही है।

ये शर्म की बात है।

जब सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने कह दिया है कि पैरामिलिट्री फोर्स के अधिकारियों के साथ अन्याय हो रहा है, तो सरकार कानून बनाकर उनका प्रमोशन क्यों रोक रही है?
