Implementing Level Of Details for my terrain generator. Would be now implementing endless terrain that gets loaded depending on player's fov with auto switching lod. Really want to explore SharedArrayBuffers to offload some work to a web worker.

Trying to break @babylonjs with 4million vertices and a large raw texture😅. Still 60fps. I'd admit though rotating the mesh was lagging a little, zooming in - no problem!

PS - On 6th gen i7 + gtx970.

@JoshWComeau This happens all the time on phone(Android user here), where I'm assuming the optimisations would be even more aggressive. Doesn't really depend on the background I think. I've seen it on sites with lots of images as well.

A CustomMaterial that assigns a color from gradient texture depending on the height of terrain. Working with CustomMaterial was a breeze, was quickly able to modify shader code. I like how this is turning out.

Spooky mountains on top of flat terrain. Layered noise! Procedural planet generator following @SebastianLague's unity tutorial. The tutorials are so well done and explained that I'm having zero problems porting it to @babylonjs.
