@thecoopertom they may not have been tech savvy enough to figure it out. If there are lots of people pictures it would be nice to get them back to the family.
My father had 12000+ slides that his wife ended up throwing away, so that was a lot of lost family history.

@aevris_ Marine biology (cetacean) was going to be my first choice, but then I realized what it would take (PhD) and its pay, so I went into engineering instead.

@aevris_ Did my MBA glad it was done after 2 years. Was 1 week night for 4 hours and Saturdays for 8 hours. Mixing that with working full time and family with kids, was very busy. After I finished I ended up teaching at the university on the side.

@possagrossa Wife is an anthropologist specializing in Native American Culture, so I am no expert, just generates curiosity.
The shells look like Cowry shells which are ocean based, so would assume trade, but as you said, I didnt delve deeply.

@VixDroxDEGGY Agreed there are intangibles that impact decision on jobs.
I try to get a commute within 30 minutes of my workplace, dont want to be in car longer or give up that time at home. Understand that may not be practical for SF.
I work about 45 hours a week on average, salaried too.

@VixDroxDEGGY Has the impact of WFH to downtown in SF put a downward pressure on house at all or prices still going through the roof?
I figure student loan repayment start will impact discretionary spending, putting further strain on businesses.
Hopefully you have some cushion just in case.

@VixDroxDEGGY Have my kids loans to pay for, unfortunately don't qualify for any of the programs. My payment will be $825 a month. Starts in October as well. So yeah, that payment is going to hurt again.
