@xerwo This Humanity guy is fucking insufferable. If he spent all the time he does bitching on Twitter doing literally anything else, I’m sure his mental would be better for it.
I don’t understand why @Warcraft thinks these type of systems are enticing. It’s not fun to have a never ending TODO list all season. I want to get to a point in a season where I’m “done” with power gains and can just enjoy doing content. It’s a shit method at pushing engagement.
@maximum Separate lockouts are a net positive. Fewer issues w/ roster lock during extending regarding gear & players benched for entire weeks.
Difficulty could be harder. Lot of Mythic bosses to prep weekly as pacing is a lot faster due to weak tuning. Easier bosses = uninteresting prog.
How dare the dev team based in America push a change during normal American work hours on their day off. How dare they not cater to a low-integrity video game competition.
The lack of self awareness here is staggering.
The difference is if your guilds disappeared, Blizzard wouldn’t lose a dime. Your “race” is funded by the revenue generated from the other millions of players.
@KamiChameleonTK This is such a dipshit take. It isn’t a justification for breaking ToS. Just because you don’t have to do something doesn’t mean that thing isn’t still wrong/bad.
I don't understand why none of these streamers can acknowledge that their "tons of hours" spent configuring an addon pales in comparison to an actual developer that spent hours upon weeks upon months creating, testing, and troubleshooting.
What’s with all the UI crash outs. If you dont want to pay a 5 dollar sub for something people put hours in to so you save tons of hours then don’t use their uis? There are free alternatives and profiles online too.
There is a reason why the paywalled ones are good and maintained, for some content creators, smaller sized ones especially it gives them the opportunity to live off it.
@Gingitv Unless my understanding of Blizzard's ToS is wrong, addon devs cannot monetize their work.
These devs work out of charity and volunteerism - and yet we're trying to justify an individual's customization, of someone else's work, costing money.
I understand that players can be lazy and just want a quick and easy already configured UI, but if these addon developers are not allowed to charge money for their work per Blizzard's TOS, why on fucking earth do you think that you should be able to charge for your string?
The moment that developer stops maintaining their addon, these streamers have to move on and configure ANOTHER developer's addon and claim they put in "so much work." Like fuck off, you didn't develop shit.
@WarcraftDevs@Warcraft it would be really cool if I didn’t have to be punished for missing a week or forgetting to turn in the quest for dinars. Seriously, implement a catch up system. This is so unfun.
Unfollowing does not mean beef.
Limited access does not mean beef.
Boundaries do not mean beef.
Growing apart does not mean beef.
Periods of solitude do not mean beef.
Separate paths do not mean beef.
You are NOT entitled to anyone's energy and NOT everyone is mad at you. Let go.
@xerwo@Jrandoskeet@Stankietv Average mythic raiding guilds can’t afford to not raid for several months. It’s hard to keep a roster of ~25 during a tier let alone an off season that doesn’t interest most. There has to be a “keep the lights on” type of maintenance, even if it’s on a reduced schedule.
The merger of @CapitalOne and @Discover threatens our financial stability, reduces competition, and would increase fees and credit costs for American families.
This Wall street deal is dangerous and will harm working people.
Regulators must block it immediately.
Gearing in WoW is absolutely easier in terms of acquisition (for crafted/tier) but it is such a tedious and long grind that I just do not have the mental capacity for. After 3 toons of it.
@AutomaticJak I think there’s a misconception that X number of players is easier to maintain than Y. It may be easier to start a 10man guild but it remains the same maintenance as a 20. You’re still gonna aim to maintain a ~15 man roster to account for comp/absences, and if someone leaves 1/2
@EchoGuild I think it’s moderately hypocritical that Echo’s reaction to this race is significantly more opinionated versus in Vault, when Liquid got hit with a Rasz nerf overnight, and Echo’s reaction was “oh well, that sucks! But we won so woo!” Shows they only give a shit when they lose.
