(2) emphasizes the teachings of Jesus without taking seriously the call to deep communion with Christ.

@ImTomHawks @michelhulsey @Casey This is exactly the problem.. condemning the people you don’t agree with, and then turning right back around and threatening violence against them! This is the epitome of what people are protesting.

I’ve heard stories of people leaving mega churches because their pastor is “preaching social justice over the gospel.”

Sigh.

This makes me wonder how many predominantly white mega churches would be mega in size if they consistently preached a gospel that reflected justice.
