@Sheldon1Copper@lelsderp@TheSethGyan@salim9081 @KurdishBall93 @DavidVujanic Coffee and Chess aren't science and maths. Everybody knows. And yes, many Arab/Persian/other Muslim scholars made vast contributions to Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Medicine, Social Science, Philosophy, and various other fields. That fact doesn't change if you're unaware of it.
@Sheldon1Copper@lelsderp@TheSethGyan@salim9081 @KurdishBall93 @DavidVujanic Anyway, you're just arguing for the sake of arguing, bcs you can't refute truth and facts like Muslims developing science and maths and making discoveries while Europe still debated whether women had a soul and burned innocent people accused of being witches.
@Sheldon1Copper@lelsderp@TheSethGyan@salim9081 @KurdishBall93 @DavidVujanic Ok, so you prove yourself to be unable to understand English. The modern form of the game evolved in the Middle East. Not the original 'chathurangam' game, which was Indian.
@Sheldon1Copper@lelsderp@TheSethGyan@salim9081 @KurdishBall93 @DavidVujanic Again, you don't seem to understand English. I said, old forms of chess is believed to hve originated in India. The game as we know it today evolved in the Middle East. Many terms including 'rook'(rukh) and 'checkmate'(shah-math) are from Persian words.
@Sheldon1Copper@lelsderp@TheSethGyan@salim9081 @KurdishBall93 @DavidVujanic Chess is believed to be originated in India. Sure. Just read the paragraph again - "chess as we know today" - get it? Maybe you don't, bcs trolls usually don't even care about basic English grammar.
