Kupwara: Rural sports infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district is set for a major expansion under a government initiative to establish at least one playground in every Panchayat across the Union Territory. Of the district's 385 Panchayats, playground development projects have received a total allocation of ₹21 crore. During the current financial year, the District Development Commissioner has released ₹7.80 crore for the construction of 78 new playgrounds.
