We opened a new facility for rearing and release of Black Softshell Turtle near Kaziranga in Assam. This facility will help us to raise 100 hatchlings of BST until they reach 500 grams for restocking program.

Just received e-mail asking me to peer-review a paper on lions and hyenas in wildlife docs, from PLOS ONE, giving me 6 days to decide and 14 days to review. Quite peremptory. I then looked up and saw exorbitant fees they charge authors. E-mailed them to ask what fee I will get.
