Imagine if this happened today
In 1993, Cong govt was facing no confidence motion in Lok Sabha
The allegation was that JMM MPs were bribed to vote for the govt
Matter went to Supreme Court
In court it was argued that votes of MPs are protected by parliamentary privilege ... so just in case they have taken money, it does not matter!
Supreme Court agreed with this in 1998 and said there is no question of anything wrong here
Again ... imagine the reaction on social media if this happened today. But back then, every intellectual in India was clapping.
Side note: The Finance Minister in that 1993 govt was Dr. Manmohan Singh, the most honest man in the whole world.
Indeed, there is an article about tens of thousands of Islamists held a rally to protest the hanging of the 1971 war criminals. In The Hindu that too. You are not ready to find out who the author of that piece is!
School children danced to Pakistani song “Gustakh Nabi Ki Ek Saza...”. The backdrop had Mumtaz Qadri the Jihadi who murdered Punjab Governor Salman Taseer for supporting Asia Bibi, a Christian.
No this is not school in Pakistan.
This is in Maharashtra.
Joseph sir, you were a minister yourself and would know that nothing in any act or statute prevents VCs from attending such events. Kindly let me know if Aligarh University VC P K Abdul Azis' visit to Panakkad House to meet Syed Mohammad Ali Shihab Thangal in 2009 was inappropriate too. And hope you are aware that RSS leader Ka Bha Surendran revealed yesterday that you had attended the Sangh Parivar program of P Parameshwar's book release in 2013 at CM Oommen Chandy's behalf. 😊
Imagine spending years telling the world Kashmir is a prison, only to end up complaining that too many people want to visit it.
I feel bad for Iltija Mufti. Years of victimhood propaganda undone by one traffic jam.
And the problem with victimhood mindset is, you don't know where to stop.
Less tourism is a problem, more tourism is also a problem.
Iltija Mufti tomorrow: "The total number of tourists that should visit Kashmir is 54,396. Any more is a disaster. Any less is a tragedy".

UPDATE: Owner of the school has accepted to NDTV Marathi, that the annual day performance actually happened.
But they blame the contractor who showed the image of Pak terrorist Mumtaz Qadri
Now Jalna Police has started investigating into the matter.
But why the school allowed dance performance calling for STSJ of blasphemers?
@HelleLyngSvends Report on it?
The criminality was everywhere in the corridors of power in Norway for decades.
Are you telling me Norway's famously "free" press had no idea what was going on? That they only found out now?
My grandparents migrated from Multan but I think it's a little too much to say we 'feel in the bones' or 'carry the wounds inside'. I once asked my grandfather if he would like to visit again & he said 'Main khaunga peeunga kahan'. His discomfort was about eating in Muslim homes
The barricade outside US Embassy was removed due to pressure from IFS lobby to shield one of their own
Former President APJ Abdul Kalam was stopped twice by US and humiliated around the same time, no outrage, no barricades were removed
Possibly because he was an NDA President
Between 2006-2012 there were several cases of Indian Sikhs and elderly Indians being singled out by US immigration and humiliated, no barricades were removed then
The diplomat for whom the barricades were removed participated in Adarsh housing scam meant for Kargil war widows, while no outrage for a distinguished Ex President
Words cannot describe the unspeakable acts I would commit to prevent this from happening in my purview.
This is beyond law. It is primal. There is no justice that can be meted out by the laws of man to sate my sinister lust for vengeance here.
I know I’m not alone.
EXCLUSIVE:
During Annual Day programme of Kids World English School in Partur, Jalna — school children danced on the Pakistani song of "Gustakh Nabi Ki Ek Saza..." with dummy swords.
In the background, they had celebrated with photo of Pakistani terrorist Mumtaz Qadri, who had assassinated Pakistan's Punjab Governor — as he had spoken in defence of a Christian woman Asia Bibi, accused of blasphemy.
This school claims to be affiliated with CBSE board ( @cbseindia29), and allegedly is promoting extremist ideology amongst children.
We urge @NCPCR_ to immediately take cognizance of the matter, and direct security agencies to investigate it and take appropriate action.

Online Jihad on social media
What started with the arrest of a homoeopathic clinic employee, Faraz, in Bhopal has now expanded into a multi-state terror investigation with links reaching MP, UP, Rajasthan, Haryana, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
So far, the Madhya Pradesh ATS has arrested Mohammad Faraz (Bhopal), Naeem Abdullah (Deoband), Shakir Mev (Alwar), and Haji Azhar (Dhar). Another suspect from Nuh, Haryana, has also been brought in for questioning.
How did the network operate?
Faraz came into contact with Naeem Abdullah through a madrasa. The relationship became the gateway to Pakistan-based jihadi and ISI-linked networks.
All they had to do was:
1. Join Telegram and WhatsApp groups
2. Connect with foreign handlers
3. Consume radical content
4. Recruit more youth
5. Remain active through encrypted digital channels
These groups connected recruits with Pakistan-based operatives and foreign extremists, who guided and indoctrinated members online.
1. Naeem renamed Faraz as "Khalid Saifullah", after a slain Lashkar-e-Taiba commander, and encouraged him to follow the same path.
2. Faraz was being groomed online to be a mujahid.
3. Naeem sent photos and videos of cities in Uttar Pradesh to Pakistan.
4. Shakir Mev, a Maulvi, functioned as the network's "second-in-command", handling recruitment while living in Rajasthan.
What were they planning?
1. Members were instructed to spread fear and carry out target killings when ordered.
2. Recruits were encouraged to obtain passports and prepare to travel to Pakistan through third countries for Mujahideen-style training.
3. They were told not to accept democratic rule and instead work towards a larger ideological objective.
4. Faraz stated that recruits were being prepared as fighters and expected to possess weapons.
5. The network was working towards implementing the PFI-linked "Mission 2047" agenda.
6. He further claimed that discussions within the network involved carrying out coordinated attacks across India and eventually establishing Sharia rule.
7. Faraz was being groomed by Pakistan-based elements to carry out a lone-wolf attack.
This case is a reminder that modern terror recruitment begins not with weapons or training camps, but with a smartphone, a Telegram group, a foreign handler, and a gradual process of online radicalisation.
Another matrimonial trap for Hindu women by Islamists
A married man identified as Karim Rafik, who is the father of a 20-year-old son, posed as "Aditya Patel" on a matrimonial website.
He introduced himself as an MBA graduate, IT engineer, and business owner, backing these claims with forged Aadhaar, PAN, driving licence, and even a fake death certificate of a late wife named Mittal.
Police recovered more than 8,000 photos and videos of different women from his phone, stored in 20 separate folders.
Police said Rafik specifically targeted widowed and divorced women who were actively looking for life partners and seeking companionship. To quickly gain their trust and build emotional intimacy, he posed as a childless widower living a lonely life. This carefully crafted narrative helped him establish emotional confidence and present himself as an ideal and sympathetic match.
Using various deceptive stories, including temporary business crises and urgent personal needs, he extracted substantial amounts of money and valuable assets, including a two-wheeler, from his victims.
Recently, the Kolkata Police arrested one Matiur Rahman, who allegedly posed as "Manik Roy" on matrimonial websites and trapped more than 15 Hindu women.
Back to back cases of matrimonial fraud involving fake identities are now being reported from different parts of Bharat.
Sandeshkali BJP Candidate Rekha Patra was kidnapped while she was on her way to attend a public meeting to be addressed by Amit Shah, he ensured she is traced, Nishikant Dubey was sent to pick her n she joined the meeting.
