Right now, MPs and leaders of the INDIA alliance are peacefully heading to Gandhi Smriti on Tees January Marg.

We go to remember the students we lost - the children driven to take their own lives after the NEET paper leak.

And we go to stand with the students who lie injured today - beaten for peacefully demanding justice and accountability.

India’s students are not alone. The entire Opposition stands with them and their demands.

हम उन छात्रों को याद करने जा रहे हैं जिन्हें हमने खो दिया - वे बच्चे जिन्हें NEET पेपर लीक के बाद अपनी जान देने के लिए मजबूर होना पड़ा।

और हम उन छात्रों के साथ खड़े होने जा रहे हैं जो आज घायल हैं - जिन्हें न्याय और जवाबदेही की शांतिपूर्ण मांग करने पर पीटा गया।

भारत के छात्र अकेले नहीं हैं। पूरा विपक्ष उनके और उनकी मांगों के साथ खड़ा है।

VIDEO | Patna: On the arrest of the main accused in the Bunty Yadav murder case following a police encounter, Patna SSP Kartikey Sharma says, “A few days ago, an abduction case was reported in which the victim’s body was later recovered. Police have been investigating the case, identifying and arresting those involved in the crime. The main accused, Ravish alias Basiya, was also being traced, and raids were being conducted at various locations to apprehend him. During the investigation, police received information that he was coming to Patna to collect money before fleeing to Nepal. We received specific inputs that he was arriving by boat from the Vaishali side and was heading to Patna to collect money and escape to Nepal. Accordingly, police intensified the operation and began checking at the river ghats. When the police vehicle reached the spot, it came face-to-face with him. He opened fire at the police, and a bullet hit the police vehicle. Police asked him to surrender, but he refused and attempted to fire again. In retaliatory action by the police, he sustained a bullet injury to his leg. He is currently undergoing treatment, and a separate case will be registered for this incident, following which further legal action will be taken.”

This is the sign of the growing love for cricket in Ireland, and young exciting players such as Matt Hollard, of course Jai Moondra, who made massive contribution towards the Irish victory. We are hoping this would be a new era of cricket in Ireland... It's a perfect way to start our preparations for the T20 World Cup which will be hosted by England, Ireland, Scotland in 2030, so this is such a wonderful start."

VIDEO | Delhi: TMC leader Kalyan Banerjee on Supreme Court hearing on SIR in West Bengal said, "Today, the matter has been taken up in the Supreme Court, in the court of the Chief Justice. The Chief Justice referred to a report from the Calcutta High Court. From what has been observed, approximately 4.5 to 4.7 million cases have already been disposed of. For the remaining cases, it has been stated that they will be resolved within the next seven days."

A few years back, In one of the court hearings that I was forced to attend, We saw this old couple doing the rounds at a high court. They carried files and papers of many years. The weight of the files represents the years they spent pleading, begging and seeking justice. Over the years, the burden and weight is such that they pull it along on a wooden trolley. They hold each other's hands tight as they fight another battle, another date, another adjournment, year after year. This is the best example of our justice delivery system which is lax, insensitive and lacks empathy.

For students who want to invest themselves in social change, impact lives whilst perusing a successful career, Law is the best option. Choosing law is choosing to be the voice for people such as this old couple. To fight for justice where injustice reigns. As a lawyer, you don’t just change laws—you change lives. You stand in the gap for the marginalized, protect the vulnerable, and challenge the status quo. Law isn’t just a career; it’s a mission to shape a fairer world, where every individual, no matter their background, has a chance at justice. The ripple effect of your work will touch families, communities, and entire societies. Law gives you the power to leave an indelible mark on humanity's fight for equality.
